South Korea's Super Matcha Is Coming to the Philippines

(SPOT.ph) Since the matcha world domination last year, we've seen plenty of local and international matcha-focused cafés mushrooming in and around Metro Manila. There are already a few that have come in from Japan, and very soon, South Korea too. From Seoul to Manila, Super Matcha is soon opening its first Philippine store at SM Megamall.

Super Matcha is a tea brand founded in South Korea back in 2017. They currently have eight branches in Korea, plus two each in Malaysia and Thailand—and now, they're opening their first branch in the Philippines at SM Megamall. You can find them right at the Ground Level of Mega Fashion Hall. We know navigating the mall can be quite confusing, but the boardup comes in this bright, eye-catching Jade Green hue that's hard to miss. If you know your way around the jungle, it's right in between Pandora and H&M.

Super Matcha uses ingredients locally sourced in Korea, like the green tea leaves from Jeju. Just in case you didn't know, Jeju, being a volcanic island, has unique environmental conditions that make it ideal for growing green tea. Hence, this is why green tea cosmetics are a common thing in South Korea, too!

Super Matcha uses their signature matcha for their core menu drinks like the Super Matcha Iced Latte, Super Matcha Hot Latte, Super Matcha Espresso, and Super Matcha Lemonade, which they will hopefully bring to the Philippines when they open the store—plus, their matcha powders, for the sake of those who can't always go to SM Megamall for their matcha fix.

As of writing, there's no published month or date when they're opening Super Matcha at SM Megamall. For now, we'll have to keep our tabs on (or turn on notifications) via Super Matcha's socials for updates.
