Starbucks is Launching New Drinks Inspired by The Devil Wears Prada's Iconic Characters

(SPOT.ph) If you thought the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada 2 was just going to serve looks, think again—it’s also serving us cups of coffee at Starbucks. The coffee chain will be launching four film-inspired beverages, each modeled after the film’s most iconic personalities: Miranda Priestly, Andrea Sachs (or Andy), Nigel Kipling, and Emily Charlton.

Starbucks' The Devil Wears Prada-inspired drinks aren't just for the sole purpose of trend-hijacking—not when the brand had a cameo in the original film and is reportedly set to get even more screen time in the upcoming sequel. This time, the coffee chain is clearly committing to the bit, with a drink lineup formulated around Miranda, Andy, Nigel, and Emily's distinct personalities.

The film-inspired drinks include The Miranda Caffé Latte, which is exactly like the strong and uncompromising editor-in-chief. It's a hot drink with no foam, an extra shot of espresso, and skimmed milk. On the other hand, there's Andy—noticeably more polished but still recognizably her—who comes through as The Andy Oatmilk Cappuccino: a classic Italian staple with caramel and cinnamon for just enough personality.

Nigel, Runway’s most competent human being who kept the place from imploding, is transformed into The Nigel Espresso Con Panna, a doppio (a double shot of espresso) with mocha. And then there’s Emily, who always seems to be two seconds away from a breakdown. She can probably take it down a notch with her own Starbucks drink, The Emily Iced Chai Latte: tea, almond milk, caramel, and enough ice to at least attempt to cool her temper.

Starbucks' The Devil Wears Prada 2-inspired drinks will be available starting April 29 to June 1. This is right in time for the film’s cinema premiere in the Philippines, and is long enough to be on the menu to try all four drinks and play favorites.
