Steak & Frice Launches an Elevated Version of a Discontinued Fast Food Fave

(SPOT.ph) We’ve all been in a nostalgic mood lately, looking back on the past 10 years or so—and if there's one thing that reliably drags us down memory lane, it’s the food. And the strongest reactions are usually reserved for tastes tied to our past, especially dishes that no longer exist in the present.

But, alas, you can always look for the next best thing, or in this case, the next thing. Bonifacio Global City steakhouse Steak & Frice is out to tug at our heartstrings with their new beef dish, which will remind you of a well-loved, discontinued fast food meal from the past—plus a dessert that gives another beloved fast food classic the full steakhouse-appropriate glow-up.

The Michelin Guide Selected Steak & Frice starts 2026 on a nostalgic note with their new Loco Moco Burger Steak (P780). To put it into a more Filipino-appropriate context, this is an elevated version of a discontinued fast-food burger steak meal that highlights an 8-ounce wet-aged Angus Ribeye beef burger steak lying atop truffle mushroom rice.

This is served on a bowl plate to keep the puddle of mushroom gravy in place. Of course, it's topped with Thai-style fried egg, with its crispy whites and a runny yolk when you break into it. It's already filling on its own, but if you're missing the fries element (IYKYK), you can order a side of fries off the menu.

Do take note that the Angus Ribeye patty comes cooked medium well by default—yes, there’s still a faint blush of pink at the center—and the egg with fully set whites with a gloriously runny yolk. If you prefer things more done (or less), you can request these cooked to your liking.

The other new item at Steak & Frice is the Apple & Peach-Mango Pie (P290). It starts with a cinnamon-forward crust and a fruit compote of apples, peaches, and mangoes—actual, visible fruit chunks you can bite into. As if that weren’t indulgent enough, Steak & Frice finishes it with a generous pour of crème anglaise. Consider a fork optional; a spoon is the smarter move because you need to get as much of the custard sauce in every bite.

Steak & Frice's Loco Moco Burger Steak is priced at P780 and is available daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the Apple & Peach-Mango Pie is priced at P290 and is available all day daily.
