It's Back: Singapore's TWG Tea is Reopening in the Philippines

(SPOT.ph) There was a time when TWG Tea had a handful of branches scattered across Metro Manila—until, one by one, they quietly disappeared. Maybe the Singaporean luxury tea brand simply arrived way ahead of its time? Now, with the matcha craze producing queues for a cup of whisked green tea and oat milk (usually), perhaps—hopefully—people have also developed a deeper appreciation for tea beyond the matcha.

So maybe this time, as TWG returns to the Philippines, it lingers a little longer—and so do people, over an actual pot of tea.

In the midst of all the frenzy of strolling SM Mall of Asia, we spotted a sign for TWG Tea at L1 North Main Mall of SM Mall of Asia—right beside Läderach and across from the Disney Store. With the location confirmed, unfortunately, there's no confirmation yet as to when they will remove the tarpaulin and open the doors to the public.

At this point, it’s also unclear whether the space will simply function as a retail pop-up for tea products. But judging by the size of the location, it seems more likely that it will be a full-service TWG Tea Salon & Boutique, where guests can linger over pots of the brand’s bestselling signature blends—like the 1837 Black Tea, Silver Moon Tea, and Geisha Blossom Tea—paired with pastries, sandwiches, and other afternoon tea staples.

TWG Tea is a Singaporean luxury tea brand best known for its extensive selection of teas and elegant tea salon experience. The brand previously operated several branches in the Philippines, including locations at SM Mall of Asia (where it's reopening) in Pasay City, Greenbelt 5 in Makati City, Central Square in Bonifacio Global City, and Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City.
