But the reverse is also true—our homegrown brands love a little creative freedom abroad, tweaking their menus to suit local palates. An example that surely comes as no surprise to anyone? Jollibee. The fast food chain has different approaches to Chickenjoy, depending on the country from which you're ordering.

And now, we can add Potato Corner to the list. Yes, the local fry slinger also has country-exclusive items overseas—and frankly, they’re the kind of exclusives that make us lowkey jealous.

It may feel like a food challenge for tourists, but eating insects in Thailand isn’t a gimmick—it’s part of the country’s history and culture. Which is exactly why Potato Corner’s Crispy Bamboo Worms only made sense in Bangkok.

Bamboo worms are safe to eat, rich in protein, and—much like potatoes—a surprisingly good blank canvas. Customers could coat the fried worms in any Potato Corner powder they wanted. The limited-edition item was rolled out by Potato Corner Thailand just in time for Halloween, from October 27 to 31, 2025.

Hopefully, they'll bring it back for the succeeding Halloweens!

Potato Corner Thailand really commits to the bit when it comes to holiday flavors. After unleashing crispy bamboo worms for Halloween, they’re going festive with something called the Pizza Santa Bag for Christmas. Think Santa bag–shaped, bite-sized balls of deep-fried dough, stuffed with Hawaiian pizza toppings: pizza sauce, mozzarella, and smoked chicken ham.

They’re crisp on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside, and finished with Potato Corner’s signature seasoning. This is nothing like what we'd ever imagine Santa's bags of Christmas gifts would taste like, but we'd be lying if we said we're not intrigued.

Malaysia has always been serious when it comes to spice, so it's only expected that you can get sweat-inducing items from Potato Corner Malaysia. The brand recently rolled out a limited-edition Jason’s Sambal Gepuk, a fiery sambal dip created to be paired with menu staples like Super Chicken Pop and Crispy Squid. However, customers are free to pair it with other items on the menu, too, like fries, cheese sticks, or pretty much everything else.

The once-trendy, now practically a mainstay with most pizzerias with cheesy-spinach everything has made its way to Malaysia, too. Potato Corner Malaysia rolled out its Spinach Cheese Balls on September 24. These are bite-sized balls packed with spinach and cheese, coated with crumbs, and deep-fried until golden and crunchy. Customers can have the Spinach Cheese Balls tossed and coated in their powder flavor of choice.

Laksa is easily one of the best things you can eat in Singapore—creamy, tangy, spicy, and capable of warming both the soul and filling the stomach. Now imagine the familiar instant laksa noodle, the one with a packet of fragrant seasoning. Instead of stirring that powder into noodles and broth, you toss it onto fries. That, essentially, is what Potato Corner Singapore did when it launched its Laksa flavor. The seasoning can be used across the menu—fries, chicken, and even onion rings.

Potato Corner Singapore leaned fully into the holiday spirit with the launch of Cinnamon Sugar Churros for Christmas. They used the classic formula: deep-fried dough tossed in cinnamon and sugar. Straightforward, no gimmicks whatsoever. It’s also one of those rare and exciting moments when Potato Corner ventures into dessert territory, which feels appropriate for the holidays, if any.

Our only question now is: Where's the Christmas-exclusive flavor for a country that celebrates the holidays as early as September 1?

We’ve already ticked off its Southeast Asian outposts, but Potato Corner is really expanding to different corners of the world. In the Middle East, the brand has established branches in the United Arab Emirates with a Snack Bites entry in the form of Cordon Bleu Bites. Think breaded, bite-sized nuggets filled with chicken, ham, and cheese, fried until they are golden brown and crunchy.

Yes, Potato Corner has branches Down Under—and they may have the most indulgent entry on this list. Launched in early 2025, Loaded Fries at Potato Corner Australia, served specifically at Karrinyup Shopping Centre, takes their signature fries and unapologetically piles on sauces and meat. True to their names, each option comes loaded with Bacon + Cheddar Cheese Sauce, Pulled Chicken + Aioli Mayo, Pulled Chicken + Peri Peri Mayo, and Pulled Chicken + Chipotle Mayo.

Potato Corner Australia eventually rolled out a fully customizable Loaded Fries, expanding availability to more locations, including Westfield Carousel and Foodtruck Events. You start with your choice of base—Shoestring Fries or Specialty Fries—then pick your flavor (think Cheese, BBQ, Sour Cream ’n Onion, and more), your sauce (Aioli Mayo, Truffle Mayo, etc.), and your toppings (Bacon to Pulled Chicken or Pulled Pork).
