Must-Watch Concerts and Theater Shows This January 2026

(SPOT.ph) It's officially 2026 and a new year means more shows and concerts to catch. From local and foreign productions to OPM stars and international acts, January is already shaping up to be a month filled with tickets waiting to be bought, seats raring to be filled, and memories ready to be made. Here's to all the shows you'll watch in 2026!

ONE PIECE Music Symphony is a symphonic tribute to Luffy and the Straw Hats' two-decade journey.

Catch the tear-jerking swells of Mother Sea to the upbeat tunes of Overtaken in this concert experience, which will bring both longtime and casual fans into an IRL emotional odyssey through the Grand Line. Expect over 60 musicians from the Filharmonika Orchestra, led by a guest conductor, to perform Tanaka’s original score in sync with key scenes from the anime.

Adapted for the stage with music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, this RTYA production brings together all the colorful characters from Lewis Carroll’s cherished books, including the ever-curious Alice, the eccentric Mad Hatter, the frantic White Rabbit, and the domineering Queen of Hearts.

Alice in Wonderland will be headlined by Reese De La Vega Iso, Justine Narciso, and Cheska Quimno as Alice; Cara Barredo, Pinky Marquez, and Mayen Bustamante-Cadd as the Queen of Hearts; Hans Eckstein and Gerhard Krysstopher as the Mad Hatter, and Steven Hotchkiss and Gabo Tiongson as the White Rabbit. It will be co-directed by Cara Barredo and Repertory Philippines founder and artistic director, Joy Virata.

Tickets for Alice in Wonderland start at P1,030. Ticketing for shows in January and February has yet to be opened to the public.

Four plays, four consecutive Sundays—united under a single theme. Now in its sixth season, the Company of Actors in Streamlined Theatre (CAST PH) returns with its annual staged readings, this year anchored on RE-ORIENT: Narratives from Asian Voices.

Across four weeks, the selected plays explore what it means to be Asian in an increasingly complex global landscape. Starring some of the country's best thespians like Dolly de Leon, Kakki Teodoro, Jenny Jamora, Jillian Ita-as, Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante, Mayen Bustamante-Cadd, among others, expect sharp, thoughtful takes on cultural assimilation, love for country, unquestioning familial obedience, and the act of reclaiming Eastern narratives, all tackled with intelligence, humanity, and a lot of humor.

As is tradition, play titles will not be revealed, but here's the schedule of performers and writers in case you're looking to catch a particular artist at work:

January 11: Play #1 will be directed by Sarah Facuri.
The cast features Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante, Justine Peña, Jordan Andrews, Chaye Mogg, and Mayen Bustamante-Cadd.

January 18: Play #2 will be directed by Jaime Del Mundo.

The cast features Tarek El-Tayech and Nelsito Gomez.

January 25: Play #3 will be directed by Guelan Varela-Luarca.
The cast features Jenny Jamora, Zoë De Ocampo, Jam Binay, Frances Makil-Ignacio, Dolly De Leon, and Roselyn Perez, with stage directions to be read by Lyle Viray.

February 1: Play #4 will be directed by Caisa Borromeo.
The cast features Jillian Ita-as, Kakki Teodoro, George Schulze, Yanah Laurel, Alfredo Reyes, and Miren Alvarez-Fabregas.

Film Music Legends: The Scores of John Williams & Hans Zimmer is over 90 minutes of the most recognizable movie soundtracks performed live. This purely orchestral concert, performed by the Filharmonika Orchestra, conducted by Gerard Salonga, features selections from Zimmer and Williams' repertoire of hits like music from Jaws, Indiana Jones, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dune, Interstellar, and many more.

Adding to the musicality of the evening is Bituin Escalante. The "Stellar Diva" will be providing vocals for certain scores, particularly the ones from Dune and Gladiator.

People V. Dela Cruz is a satirical one-act play that asks what if the country had a jury system and what if justice was served through the court of public opinion? Watch six jurors live out the answer to these questions as they are locked in a room to decide the fate of one man, when legal deliberation becomes a circus of ego, politics, prayer, hunger, and possibly Wi-Fi withdrawal.

Les Misérables is back, not in its usual musical staging but as the Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular, happening at The Theatre at Solaire in from January 20 to February 15, 2026.

Unlike the usual full-production stagings, Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular is a hybrid production designed for larger venues and fitted with enhanced set and lighting designs similar to a concert experience. It still keeps the original story and music intact, just packaged with a bit of extra pomp and flair. 

This Les Mis World Tour—originally titled as Les Misérables: Arena Spectacular—reimagines and expands the Les Misérables: The Staged Concert by bringing with it a slew of over 100 international and Filipino talent, performing Boublil and Schönberg’s score and iconic songs, including I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, One Day More and more.

Rewind to the 80s, because the iconic Viva Films teen flick from 1984 is getting its own stage musical adaptation.

Bagets is about the lives and loves, families and friendships, adventures and misadventures of five young boys during their senior year in high school. There’s boy next door Adie, "overstaying" high schooler Tonton, geeky Gilbert, martial arts buff Toffee, and rich guy Arnel.

Working on Bagets are PETA stalwarts — director Maribel Legarda (Rak of Aegis, Care Divas), playwright Jmee Katanyag (Maria Clara at Ibarra), and musical director Vince Lim (Walang Aray). It stars two sets of rotating cast members featuring Noel Comia Jr. and Tomas Rodriguez as Gilbert, Milo Cruz and Migo Valid as Tonton, Ethan David and KD Estrada as Arnel, Jeff Moses and Sam Shoaf as Topee, and Mico Hendrix Chua and Andres Muhlach as Adie.

Quomodo Desolata Es? Isang Dalamhati is a reimagined take and return to the stage of Nick Joaquin’s Classic Play "A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino." This revisit was written by Jerry Respeto and Guelan Varela-Luarca, who also serves as the director.

Set in 1941 pre-World War II Intramuros, Quomodo Desolata Es? Isang Dalamhati follows sisters Paula and Candida Marasigan as they deal with the slow unraveling of their once-privileged lives. With their fortunes fading and their father, Don Lorenzo—a once-celebrated painter—retreating into isolation, the sisters are left to confront grief, change, and the looming shadow of war.

The show stars Gab Pangilinan as Paula Marasigan and Delphine Buencamino as Candida Marasigan, with Omar Uddin, Vino Mabato, John Sanchez, and Brian Sy.

Super Junior member Kangin is coming to Manila this January as part of his Stunning Together Fanmeeting Tour. Unlike most of the usual concerts on this list, a fanmeeting leaves more room for other activities apart from performances and songs. Expect some major fanservice moments, special segments, and surprises meant to bring Kangin and the fans closer! Of course, we're not counting out the fun and the theatrics courtesy of the variety and broadcast MC and host, so you definitely can't miss this show if you're a fan.

South Korean boygroup Riize is back in Manila and they're starting the year with a bang. With new songs added to their discography, the six-man team is ready to wow Filipino fans once more during their RIIZING LOUD World Tour stop in Manila at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. They released their second album Fame last November, and our fingers are crossed at least one track makes it to the show somehow.

South Korean singer-songwriter Colde is dropping by the Philippines for the Manila stop of his BLUEPRINT+ Tour. Though it's not the R&B artist's first time in Manila—he previously met Filipino fans through ASIYA Music Festival last year—it is his first time holding a solo show.

When it comes to powerful vocals from the land of South Korea, a lot of old-school and even newer fans are sure to bring up Wendy. The Red Velvet member has contributed a distinct sound to her group's discography over the years, and now, she's striking out on her own with a tour titled W:ealive. This marks the first time Wendy is coming over to Manila as a soloist and our fingers are crossed she comes back after seeing such warm reception from fans!

Four-man band Day6 is coming back to Manila for their The Decade Tour which they embarked on last year for their 10th anniversary. The band is turning 11 this year, and they've certainly graced us with amazing songs like "Congratulations", "You Were Beautiful", and "Welcome to the Show", and seem to show no signs of stopping. Apart from their staple hits, we can't wait for the songs they'll pull out for an encore, along with potential covers they might have up their sleeves!

Australian soft-rock duo Air Supply are coming to the Philippines for not just one but two shows. English singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and Australian singer Russell Hitchcock are greeting Filipino fans for their 50th anniversary celebration, which no doubt features their hit songs like "All Out of Love", "Two Less Lonely People", "Making Love Out of Nothing", and "The Power of Love".

American alternative folk band The Lumineers are coming to Manila for not one but two nights for The Automatic World Tour, which is named after their latest album, Automatic. Lead vocalist and guitarist Wesley Schultz and percussionist and pianist Jeremiah Fraites were initially slated to perform for just one night, but they added another show due to demand. If you weren't able to score tickets for the first date, you can't miss going to the added date! It will be your chance to catch "Same Old Song" from their newest album, along with other hits like "Ho Hey," "Stubborn Love," "Ophelia," "Cleopatra," and "Sleep on the Floor."

Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams of "Summer of '69" and "Heaven" fame is coming to Manila for his Roll With The Punches tour. If you're not quite familiar with his name, he's the guy behind radio hits "Please Forgive Me," "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman," and "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You." Acoustic renditions of his songs like "Christmas Time," "When You're Gone," and "All for Love" have also made waves in other countries and stops of his tour, and we can't wait for the Filipino crowd to hear it for themselves this January.
