(SPOT.ph) Reality check: Up to 70% of women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) worldwide don’t actually know they have it, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). If you’ve been putting off your checkup, then now is the perfect time to get some peace of mind.
In honor of Mother’s Day, Mercury Drug is making it easier for Filipinas to stay on top of their reproductive health. A series of free PCOS screenings and OB-GYN consultations is happening at participating Metro Manila branches on select dates this May.

Here’s how to get your free screening at Mercury Drug
Don’t let the Mother’s Day theme fool you—you don’t need to have kids to avail of this initiative. Mercury Drug is opening this service to every woman, ensuring that everyone has access to professional OB-GYN advice this month.
These free consultations are happening in the afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., so you can plan your lunch break or afternoon errands around these locations:
May 7 (Thursday): TriNoma Mall Level M1 in Quezon City and BGC 32nd Street in Taguig
May 8 (Friday): Market Market! in Taguig
May 14 (Thursday): One Ayala in Makati
Since these consultations are only three hours long and usually work on a first-come, first-served basis, it’s a good idea to arrive a little early. It's also wise to make a note on your phone of important things—such as the date of your last period and any specific symptoms you've experienced lately—to make the most of your time with the doctor.

Even if you miss the Mother’s Day window, it’s worth keeping Bantay Kalusugan on your radar. It’s Mercury Drug's long-standing preventive healthcare program to help Filipinos monitor various health conditions. Throughout the year, various branches offer free screenings for blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and even kidney health. This free PCOS screening is only the latest addition to a broad range of services aimed at early detection.
