PSA: You Can Get P5 Off Per Liter at Shell Until April 30

(SPOT.ph) You can’t really avoid fuel costs—but you can at least plan around it. If you’re due for a refill, this week might be a good time to do it. Shell is offering private motorists P5 off per liter on all fuels from April 24 to 30, as long as they meet the minimum spend.

For private four-wheeled vehicles, you need a single-receipt fuel purchase worth at least P1,500. For private two-wheeled vehicles, the minimum spend is P200.

Take note that the discount is capped at P200 per transaction, so the savings are limited. Still, it can help if you were already planning to refuel this week anyway.

There are a few rules to know before you line up at the pump. For starters, only private motorists are covered; public utility vehicles, TNVS units, cash trucks, purchase-order transactions, bulk purchases, drumming, and fleet account customers are excluded from the promo.

The discount also isn’t something you can save for later. It has to be applied in the same transaction, at the same Shell station.

As for the purchase itself, it has to be on a single receipt—you can’t combine multiple transactions or add other products just to meet the minimum spend. Fuel must also be pumped directly into your vehicle’s tank, not into containers (no hoarding!).

For Shell Go+ and SMAC users, the good news is you can still earn points when you use the Shell Asia App, SM Advantage Card, or SM Prestige Card. The catch is that the discount cannot be used with other existing promos or discounts.

This comes after fuel prices finally eased this week. On April 21, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ordered to cut diesel by P24.94 per liter, gasoline by P3.41 per liter, and kerosene by P2 per liter. Another rollback may also be coming next week, based on the Department of Energy’s latest oil monitor. Still, the reality is that cheap fuel isn’t coming back anytime soon, so we need all the help we can get.
