Good News for BPI Users: P10 InstaPay Fee for Online Transfers Is Here to Stay

It's one of the most affordable InstaPay rates right now.

(SPOT.ph) Here's one less thing to worry about when paying bills or managing finances: BPI users can continue to send money to other banks through InstaPay for just P10 per transaction—and this time it's for good.

Starting June 1, users transferring funds from BPI accounts to other banks via the app or online banking can enjoy this lower fee. This rate was initially introduced as a temporary promo in March but is now being made permanent following a noticeable increase in digital transactions during that period.

The new permanent rate of P10 is among the lowest for InstaPay transfers in the country, according to BPI.

Do note that the “Load E-Wallet” feature is no longer available (it was removed last February), but transfers to GCash and Maya are still possible under the “Transfer to Other Banks” feature. Simply select "G-Xchange" for GCash and "Maya Philippines Inc/Maya Wallet" for Maya.

Another way of saving with BPI transfers

For context, InstaPay is the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' real-time transfer service that allows users to move funds between various banks and e-wallets. It’s useful for everything from splitting bills to sending family remittances—making per-transaction fees especially noticeable for regular users.

Although the lower InstaPay fee is a welcome change, it’s not the only way to save. There’s also another option for those who want to avoid fees entirely, but this one requires a bit more effort. Download BPI’s e-wallet VYBE, because transfers to other banks and e-wallets are currently free on the app. You can cash in to VYBE first, then send money to your choice of platform without spending a single peso.
