Here's How to Get a Free Duffle Bag During the Uniqlo Thank You Festival

But when the brand's huge, Thank You Festival sale comes around, even the strong-willed won't be able to resist going in and checking out. Offers for as low as P390? First-time promotions? Bye-bye, self-control. They're even giving away foldable duffle bags this time. Here's how to get one while shopping your heart out.

For the uninitiated, this is the brand's way of showing gratitude to its loyal customers. And like clockwork, the first Thank You Festival of this year is almost upon us, starting this Friday, May 22 until Thursday next week, May 28. And for the free item you can get this time around, it's Uniqlo's Packable Duffle Bag.

A bag that packs and can be packed? Those who are always worried about where to store extra baggage and pasalubongs at the end of every trip won't have to fret when they have this foldable, lightweight bag from Uniqlo. If not in use, just fold it again and squeeze it inside the main bag. Folding totes and duffles back into its compact form isn't always easy, but it's pretty breezy with this one. Simply pull on both ends until it flattens, roll it up, then loop the elastic around the roll to keep its shape. The best part? It has adjustable straps and a zipper.

It's available in three colorways: Navy and Orange, Black and Grey, and Butter Yellow and Pink. The bags are distributed at random and choosing colors is not allowed. Color availability will also depend on the stocks. You cannot exchange it anymore once it has been handed to you. These are also not for sale. No ifs and buts.

Unlike the versatile basics and stylish staples on sale during the Thank You Festival, the duffle bag can't be bought as is. Here are two of the most important things you should keep in mind: you must be a fully registered Uniqlo PH App member, and you must have purchased at least P3,500 (after coupon and discounts, and this does not include alteration and shopping bags) worth of Uniqlo items—which shouldn't be too hard as an avid Uniqlo enthusiast.

Read carefully because this is how it will go down. If you're going to be buying in person at a pyshical store, you will be asked to scan your Uniqlo PH App Membership Barcode upon checkout—cashier or self-checkout. You will then present your valid receipt.

Select stores such as UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store, UNIQLO SM Mall of Asia, UNIQLO BGC High Street, UNIQLO Greenhills, UNIQLO SM Megamall, UNIQLO SM North EDSA, UNIQLO Ayala Center Cebu, and UNIQLO Davao Roadside Store have their own Novelty Booth at the entrance of the stores, where you will be claiming the free item. If your nearest branch is different from the stores listed above, you can claim your item directly from the cashier.

If you're adding to the cart online—home delivery or Click & Collect—the free item will be delivered together with your order.

According to the site, customers will be given only (1) one duffle bag for every P3,500 purchase. If you hit P7,000, you can get (2) two, and so on, so forth. You can also claim your free item at the store where you made the purchase or at the designated Novelty Booths at select stores. Full mechanics can also be found online.

Familiar items will be back on sale once the Thank You festival rolls in. The Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt or both men and women in all colors will be P390 from P590 during the sale, along with the Linen Blend Easy Pants for women, which will be just P790 from P990. For the first time ever, Uniqlo is putting its Premium Linen Long Sleeve Shirt on sale at just P1,490 from the regular P1,990.

As if that isn't enough, Uniqlo's collaboration with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen is also dropping on Friday, May 22, in stores and on the Uniqlo app. Each piece is imbued with her signature brand of femininity paired with Uniqlo's philosophy of easy and comfort.
