ICYMI: Everything in MUJI Is 10% Off Until This Weekend

When it comes to minimalist essentials for the home, bath, and kitchen, Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI is top of mind. Its rich catalog of apparel, homeware, and even stationery has been a joy to browse since it first landed in Manila. If you've been meaning to restock your favorites or breathe new life into your space with some furniture and storage units, MUJI is celebrating its ninth anniversary with a week long sale. Everything is 10% off and you have the weekend to shop.

When we say everything is on sale, we mean everything. It sounded too good to be true, so we checked several MUJI branches in person and looked at their Philippine website to make sure, and we're happy to report that it's legit. Small items like stationery and hair ties are 10% off, along with bigger pieces like their modular storage options and wooden furniture. Regular items are automatically 10% off, and sale items have an additional 10% off. Drinks from the MUJI Coffee Counter are also on sale. If there was one thing that wasn't discounted, it was the embroidery services.

Do take note that the sale is only until April 19, Sunday. The sale is applicable only to MUJI members, but sign-up is quick, easy, and free. It takes less than two minutes to fill out the form! The discount automatically applies at the cashier--just present a screenshot of your digital MUJI membership card which will pop up after you fill out the form.

All MUJI branches nationwide and MUJI's online site are part of the MUJI Week sale. Weekdays aren't so packed, but prepare for crowds and potentially long lines during the weekend. Shelves were still full the last time we checked, but manage expectations as many MUJI fans may buy in bulk or purchase gifts for loved ones and friends. After all, a store-wide week-long sale is once in a blue moon!

It can get overwhelming once you step foot inside the store, so we rounded up some of the cool items we spotted from their catalog.

The versatile and modular PP Drawers in all sizes are on sale, with the Wide Deep originally priced at P1,950 now retailing for just P1,755. The transluscent drawers are good for hiding clutter without concealing your full view of what's inside. Great for when you want to keep things out of sight, but not out of mind.

The Stainless Steel Unit Shelf in Oak in the Large size is now P17,100 from P19,000. The same shelf in Medium is P13,500 from P15,000. To supplement with storage, the Water Hyacinth Oval Basket in two sizes are also on sale and would look good on any counter or shelf. It's available in Large (P891 from P990) and Small (P621 from P690).

All kitchen and dining goods are also on sale. You can't go wrong with Silicone Ladle available in Large (P261 from P290) and Small (P171 from P190).

Next up, apparel and accessories. The EVA Waterproof Fabric Long Raincoat is now just P2,250 from P2,250, and the Women's Cool Touch Skirt Pants are now P2,205 form P2,450. The Men's Cool Touch Darted Straight Pants are now just P2,025 from P2,250. In case you haven't heard of Cool Touch, the fabric is infused with temperature-regulating tech so you can stay comfy and cool even on the most hot and humid days.

Love bringing totes but hate rummaging for things? The Nylon Bag Organizer is now just P675 from P750.

MUJI Coffee's latest seasonal offerings are also part of the sale. The Iced Spring Lychee Tea is available in 12oz (P117 from P130) and 16 oz (P153 from P170). If you prefer coffee, the Iced Strawberry Bloom Latte is also available in 12oz (P144 from P160) and 16 oz (P180 from P200). The Chocolate Croissant (P200) is not on sale but we're thinking you would want a snack to munch on in the middle of all this shopping.

MUJI's Hand Carry Case luggage line is also on sale and is available in four sizes: 20L (P6,255 from P6,450), 36L (P8,505 from P9,450), 75L (P11,250 from P12,500), 105L (P13,950 from P15,500). The more neutral shades like white, black, gray, and blue are seen in the photo, but they also have bolder, warm shades like orange and red if that's more your thing.
