Got an Anker Power Bank? Here's How to Check If It's For Recall
Anker initiated a voluntary recall of some of their power banks.

(SPOT.ph) Chinese electronics brand Anker over the weekend issued a recall of its power banks due to risks, which is part of the manufacturer's efforts to ensure customer safety and product quality. Here's how to check if your device is part of the recall, and what to do if it is.
Anker initiates a voluntary recall on some of their power bank models.
ICYDK, Anker has been conducting a series of "quality-assurance protocols" since the start of the year, and identified a "potential manufacturing issue involving lithium battery cells supplied by a single vendor."
Said cells were included in select Anker models and sold in multiple markets, including the Philippines. Just recently, the brand announced a recall for Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) - Model A1257; Anker Power Bank (20,000mAh, 22.5W, Built-In USB-C Cable) - Model A1647; Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C and Lightning Cable) - Model A1681, and Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C Cable - Model A1689.
To check if your power bank is part of the affected batch, find the model number and serial number on your power bank. It's usually printed on the side or at the bottom of your device. See if it matches A1257, A1647, A1681, and A1689 (make sure to pay close attention to the numbers and letters!). If it's affected, you can submit the recall form online.
If your power bank is confirmed to be affected by the recall, stop using it immediately. While the likelihood that it will malfunction is "considered minimal," it doesn't hurt to be safe. You can dispose of your power bank at a certified recycling facility that accepts lithium batteries. Do not throw it away on your own!
