FIRST LOOK: Manila's First ABC Mart Grand Stage Is Now Open

(SPOT.ph) It was in July this year that popular Japanese footwear retailer ABC Mart announced that it was finally setting down roots in the country, much to every sneakerhead's delight. And not just any ABC Mart store, but a Grand Stage, no less. Finally, gone are the days when you'd have to hop on a flight overseas to get a glimpse of ABC Mart, as well as get your hands on cool sneakers at steal prices. A few months later, the time has come for the retail giant to open its doors in their first home, in BGC High Street.

FIRST LOOK: Japanese Sneaker Store Atmos Is Finally in Manila—With Nike, adidas, On, New Balance, and More

Guaranteed, you won't miss the store. The two-story store is right in the corner of 5th Avenue and 28th Street, with the ABC Mart Grand Stage sign visible from both sides. There's parking on the side, and restaurants surround it (where you can take a break from all the sneaker shopping).

The title "grand stage" isn't for naught—the first-ever ABC Mart outpost in the country has two floors full of sneakers and apparel from popular sneaker brands like Nike, adidas, Jordan, Asics, New Balance, Puma, Salomon, Vans, Patrick, Cole Haan, Crocs, Dr. Martens, and Saucony, among others. The store is also equipped with accessories like socks, caps, as well as insoles, and shoe dryers. You'll also have this store to go to for exclusive collections and limited-edition drops. Take, for example, there's a special area that features a wide selection of Jordans for all its avid fans and collectors. We also spotted the Shohei Ohtani collection from New Balance.

You'll get around quite easily, as all brands have their own spacious, dedicated spots. The area is well-lit with various mirrors and comfy seats to try on the sneakers. Dressing rooms are also available on both floors.

On the second floor, there's a space solely for running shoes and gear from brands like Asics, Nike, New Balance, and adidas. The space, called the Urban Active Lab, is a first for ABC Mart around the world.

And since we have our own ABC Mart Grand Stage, it's high time to become a member of their membership club. Being in the ABClub—which is their exclusive, all-access pass to ABC Mart—can get you not just a heads up and may even be first dibs to super fire drops, but also discounts. There's also cashback and free shipping, with perks varying depending on which membership you choose: Insider, Classic, or Platinum. You can sign up online. If you join their loyalty program during the grand opening weekend (October 11 and 12), you can get 10% off on your purchases.

Speaking of online presence, ABC Mart has also put up a website for its Philippine consumers. Can't drop by in-store yet? You can scroll through their catalog and purchase online. They're live now.

As you may already know, the next ABC Mart is opening another spot in the BGC area, right in the MITSUKOSHI Mall. We can only expect more locations around the Metro this year and beyond, and of course, we're going to keep our eyes peeled for updates.

The ABC Mart Grand Stage is now open. It's located at the C1 Building, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The doors will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday to Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. You can check out ABC Mart Grand Stage on their website.
