LOOK: All the New Stores + Soon-to-Open Brands in Greenbelt 2

(SPOT.ph) In 2024, Ayala Malls unveiled its plans to renovate its flagship malls, Glorietta and Greenbelt, with the aim of having a much simpler, shopper-friendly floor plan, bring more stores in, and be among the city's premier greener third spaces. They had a timeline to follow and it's good to see they're on track.

Over the years, mallgoers have seen the changes in the area's landscape, with refreshed facades, the opening of more local and international stores, and the introduction of seamless and interconnected walkways. Greenbelt 2 is targeted to reopen year, and you'll be glad to know you can already get a glimpse of the improvements.

There's not much to see yet—but there's a lot to look forward to. We got to visit Greenbelt 2 during one of our recent mall runs, and here's the list of stores that are now open and those that are soon-to-come in the new, revamped space.

What it's known for: You might be familiar with CDG PLAY's heart-and-eyes logo, as seen on shirts and your favorite Converse pairs. ICYDK, CDG stands for Comme des Garçons, a Japanese brand known for its avant-garde approach to fashion and design. They have the popular streetwear pieces, especially for the PLAY line, as well as jackets, coats, and more. CDG also has a spot in Power Plant Mall in Rockwell and is available on Zalora.

What it's known for: Its blend of sharp and streamlined fits with modern streetwear vibes. Maison Kitsuné is a multidisciplinary lifestyle brand that also serves coffee through its Café Kitsuné. You can expect chic and sleek styles for both men and women. Love layering? You'd be happy to know they've got loads of cardigans, sweaters, coats, jackets, and so much more.

Parisian luxury fashion brand Maison Margiela has a sister brand named MM6 and it occupies a space in the ground floor of Greenbelt 2. While it doesn’t carry Maison Margiela’s signature Tabis, it does boast a collection of casual, wearable pieces and staples in whites, greys, blacks, and even denim.

What it's known for: The cult-favorite, low-profile Mexico 66 pairs. Japanese footwear brand Onitsuka Tiger is widely loved for its retro-chic aesthetic and the walk-friendly comfort of its sneakers which feature the OG tiger stripes on the sides.

What it's known for: Sneakerheads definitely know Atmos as a hotspot for all the coolest and hard-to-find kicks from popular brands all over the world. The Japan-founded sneaker store houses big names in the sneaker world: Nike, adidas, Jordan, New Balance, as well as Puma, Asics, Salomon, and On. They have a flagship store in Bonifacio Global City. You can also find streetwear, bags, accessories in their catalog.

What it's known for: Carhartt is the go-to brand for those into rugged and durable workwear and outdoor gear. Its clothing pieces are known for blending utility with a contemporary aesthetic, which seeps into its canvas jackets, hoodies, shirts, trousers, and a whole lot more. Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress)—which leans towards streetwear—and its boxier pieces can be found in Rockwell.

What it's known for: Turning furniture and home decorative objects—and by extension, your space—into pure art. The luxury design homeware and furniture brand is known for its unique and beautiful tableware like plates, glassware, and even trays and platters. They also have an extensive range of home accessories, from umbrella stands, books and bookends, and vases, to mirrors, rugs and tapestries. You'll find furniture pieces in here, too, like cabinets and other storage.

What it's known for: Luxury timepieces. The likes of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Tudor, and Omega, among other luxury brands can be found inside Lucerne.

There are still more names making their way into Greenbelt 2 soon, like A.P.C and BAPE, as well as ON and Veja, this last one easily of the most anticipated store openings since we don't have a standalone store for their pieces yet in the Philippines.

More than the stores, new restaurants and food concepts will also be putting down roots in the area like beloved Japanese restaurant known for its charcoal-grilled patties, Hikiniku To Come. Greenbelt 2 will also be home to T:28, which is aiming to be the pulse of nightlife, entertainment, and lifestyle in Makati. Meanwhile, Omotesando Koffee is now open to serve you.

Greenbelt 2 first opened in 2002, and it’s celebrating its 26th birthday with a new look. Following its reopening this year, its older sibling, Greenbelt 1, is scheduled to reopen in 2028. Exciting times ahead for Metro Manila shoppers, indeed.
