IKEA's PS Collection debuted in 1995 at a furniture fair in Milan. The collection aimed to renew the Scandinavian design tradition; prove that good design and functionality are for everyone, which still rings true for their products until now. Since 1995, new editions of the PS Collection have been released, all a joint effort by Swedish and international designers. This year marks the PS Collection's tenth edition. The PS stands for post scriptum, or "written after", like a thought added at the very end of a letter or e-mail.

The IKEA PS 2026 Collection brings 12 designers with one goal in mind: to explore playful functionality. To combine "everyday function" and "unexpected elements of playfulness." There are 44 pieces in the collection—each one combining everyday function with unexpected elements of playfulness—from clocks in the shape of a periscope, twistable lamps, and pink shelves, among others, that will definitely bring a whole lot of play to function, and make your space livelier and brighter. Just looking at these pieces will spark joy, we promise.

The launch of the PS 2026 Collection here in the Philippines was today, July 2, both in-store and online through their website. For the launch, there's a one-piece per article per customer limit, so that more people can bring home a piece.

These days, we don't stop at only functionality. We want pieces that are as eye-catching as they are useful, and this table clock (P2,499) is the best example of it. This clock doesn't simply tell the time; it catches attention and starts conversations. You won't be ticked off by the ticking, too, since the clock has a silent quartz movement. This clock is in bold, bright red, and in the shape of a periscope. A truly unique piece.

This LED lamp (P1,999) will definitely light up your space, both literally and figuratively. This piece boasts a metal cylinder body and a glass bauble on top for that fun, playful design. Its portable, battery-operated feature allows you to bring the light wherever you go without the weight and hassle of cords (except for when you're recharging). It has three dimming levels—bold, classic, and neutral—which give you more options to set the mood in your space. You can get nine hours of light in the brightest setting.

Organize your items in a playful way with this pink, glass door cabinet (P8,999). Think of it as a glass and mesh cabinet in one, with the printed mesh pattern covering the entire piece. Apart from storing your stuff, you can also showcase your items in a unique and fun manner with this cabinet—the glass shelves and doors allow for natural light to shine on your items, and you can also integrate lighting inside when it's nighttime thanks to the cable outlet at the top. You don’t have to worry about safety either as you can secure your items with a standard padlock.

Dust is unwelcome inside thanks to the glass, but style is welcome, courtesy of the pattern and sophisticated dusty pink hue.

Standard, boring floor lamps? Definitely not this floor uplighter (P2,499) included in the new collection, that's for sure. You can bend and twist it to put a spotlight on whatever you want, thanks to its adjustable joints, and with different lighting to choose from: mood light, up light, reading light, and wall wash. It's available in three fun colors: blue, red, and yellow. Your sofa or bed is about to have the most playful company with this piece. Compared to the portable lamp that's more for an environmental mood lighting, this gives you more intention and focus to wherever you want the light to be.

Looking for the perfect accent chair? The collection has your back with this cool chair. We can totally imagine this being your designated reading chair, too. It's a flexible armchair with inflatable cushions, with a sturdy and elegant chrome metal frame. This seat has two individual air chambers that allow you to adjust the firmness and comfort. Yes, a pump is included too, so all you need is patience for manually pushing the pump to your desired texture. Don't be fooled by how heavy-duty it looks; we lifted this piece without breaking a sweat, since well, it's made entirely of air.

The IKEA PS 2026 Collection is available online through their website and in-store in Pasay City. ICYDK, they also have a plan and order hub in Quezon City, on the first level of TriNoma Mall, EDSA corner North Avenue, Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City. You can check out the IKEA PS 2026 Collection through a pop-up at the area, too, at the Glorietta Activity Center from July 3 to 8.
