More Spot Finds for May 2026: Hetras Diffuser Set, Speedo Sunglasses

(SPOT.ph) May has officially come to a close, and June is just around the corner, which means you successfully survived (most of) the first half of the year. It feels both like forever ago and just yesterday, and while the perception of time varies, we can all agree on one thing: both endings and beginnings deserve a moment of celebration. Or in this case, a little payday treat. As always, we’ve listed some of our favorite finds from the latter half of May–each one deserving of a spot in your cart.

Tote bag collectors, this one’s for you. Japanese bag brand Ball and Chain has officially landed in Manila, bringing along its signature waterproof totes in fun, vibrant colorways. No need to book a flight just to get a bag! Like most totes, the Ball and Chain ones can carry everything but the sink, made more exciting to carry with its embroidered designs. Prices range from P2,499 to P3,999, which isn’t too far from the retail price in Japan. There are pop-ups in SM North EDSA and SM Megamall which carry both the Medium and the Large sizes, but with a permanent store slated to open in The Podium, we’re hoping more designs and the latest drops hit Manila soon.

Nothing’s worse than going on a beach trip and forgetting the goggles at home. Well, maybe not having sunglasses this summer is a close second. Protect your eyes from the sun and sea with Speedo’s Sunny G Mariner (P1,888) goggles–a unique accessory that functions both as air-tight goggles for those swim sessions and as sunnies for sunbathing and munching on snacks after some laps. They’re basically sunglasses stuck on a pair of goggles so water doesn’t seep in and the sun is kept at bay, except it looks way better than expected in this stylish gold colorway. We can’t believe we didn’t think of this ourselves, but hey, at least it exists now!

Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen just dropped a collection with Uniqlo that blends her signature femininity and functionality the Japanese lifewear brand is known for. Marked by ruffles, shirring, and floral motifs, the collection for kids and women is romantic and wearable enough to make it to both life’s big events and the hum of daily life. The Shirring Sleeveless T-Shirt (P1,490) is available in three colors, but the bold red grabs attention like no other. The entire collection is modular, as is the case with most of Uniqlo’s offerings, so pairing the shirred pieces and ruffled items with stuff you already own will be a breeze.

Parties are more fun with a casual card game that requires little to no skill and guidance. Be it that trip that finally made it out of the group chat, the batch Boracay shindig, or the annual family escapade, a round of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (P499) is sure to strengthen bonds or end relationships. Results may vary. Everyone puts down a card in order and must say “taco,” “cat,” “goat,” “cheese,” or “pizza” with every turn. If the word matches the image on the card placed down, somebody has to call it and the person who does wins that round! It seems pretty easygoing, but trust when we say it can get competitive and intense.

In case you didn’t know, popular South Korean fragrance brand Hetras recently unveiled their Philippine website for online orders. Loved by the likes of G-Dragon, the brand’s perfumes and home fragrance offerings are a staple in many celebrities’ routines and homes. His favorite diffuser scent is Daisy–which has been described as clean and soft with notes of grapefruit, soap, and a floral finish–but Hotel Wood is popular amongst buyers. Each diffuser set (P1,490) comes with two bottles (16.5 fl.oz) and 30cm reed sticks for long-lasting, powerful diffusion. Our fingers are crossed they open a store in the Philippines soon, or maybe even a pop-up!

You can never go wrong with a good pair of flats, and Marikina-based shoe brand POSH Pocket Shoes knows all too well that a great one can go the distance, regardless of occasion. Their Gianna (P2,990) flats are made from genuine leather and take on the classic ballet flat silhouette with the inclusion of laces you can tie into a ribbon over the bridge of your foot. Lovers of all things cute have surely caught wind of Aquaflask’s collab with Japanese brand Sanrio, but in case you haven’t heard of it yet, we’re here to help you out. Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, and Kuromi are the stars of their latest collection. A total of five different tumbler iterations–FlipSip, Jug (in 30oz and 50oz), Trek, and SportsLid–feature the adorable character and prices range from P950 to P1,490 depending on the model. If we really had to pick a fave, it would have to be the Cinnamoroll FlipSip; a double-wall stainless steel insulated bottle with a straw for temperature-regulated beverages and spill-free drinking.
