This Puma x Powerpuff Girls Collab Is Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

(SPOT.ph) Identifying with a Powerpuff Girl is a major part of growing up. There’s self-proclaimed leader Blossom who represented the level-headed kids; cutesy, sensitive Bubbles who was a favorite among thoughtful guys and gals; and Buttercup, who was as tough as the cool kids on the block. No doubt that despite the forces of evil, a.k.a adulting duties you have to deal with, you're still that same kid who loved watching them save the day (and by extension, your entire childhood). While they won't be able to do anything about adulting problems, they can save your sneaker rotation with the Puma and Powerpuff Girls Collection.

It looks like Professor Utonium has cooked up something with Puma in the lab again, and it's as explosive and cute as the girls are.

The lineup, which perfectly represents the aesthetics and vibes of each Powerpuff girl, is available for grabs online and in stores. The colors and designs don’t only match Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup—Puma also assigned different silhouettes per Powerpuff, too, to fit the girls' personalities. If they share anything in common, all insoles have an illustration of the girls' and Puma's logo and have a heart buckle.

Let’s look at Puma's Speedcat Go, which is dedicated to Blossom. This pair is feminine, but not as entirely cutesy as Bubbles' silhouette (which we will get to in a bit). The Puma x Powerpuff Girls Speedcat Go Shoes (P5,500) are dressed in Blossom's pink color, though in a lighter pastel shade. The pair's crisscross straps and the swirl pattern to the side give it a more modern vibe despite the girly hue. It won't be a Blossom pair without her signature bow, now would it? The laces that snake through the heart buckles can be tied to the back of the shoe for when you want a cute twist in your fit.

Next is Bubbles, and no Puma silhouette suits her better than the now-viral Speedcat Ballet. The Puma x Powerpuff Girls Speedcat Ballet Shoes (P5,000) live up to Bubbles' cuteness and daintiness, courtesy of the ballet silhouette. These sneakerinas are decked in this cool yet soft blue hue with a touch of silver, perfect for the peeps who grew up as soft as Bubbles.

The last design is without a doubt dedicated to the edgier sibling Buttercup, in the form of the sleeker, more modern streetwear silhouette, the Speedcat Sneakers. The Puma x Powerpuff Girls Speedcat Sneakers (P7,500) are predominantly black, with green contrast stitching, laces, and branding. There's a cute heart detail in the middle, too, which tells us that even though rough around the edges, Buttercup has a soft spot—especially for her sisters.

While these pairs won’t grant you superpowers, they’ll have you wishing you had the powers of speed, because some of the styles are already sold out online. Don't be disheartened though, because you can still try your luck at your nearest Puma stores.
