Wet Market's 3rd Anniversary Brings a Whole Lot of Art + Matcha to Marikina

(SPOT.ph) The weekend only comes with two days, so when the chance to do multiple things in one stop presents itself, you can bet we'll push you to go and make the most out of it. Wet Market: Art Market has been championing local art and brands since 2023 and this year, it's celebrating its birthday in Marikina City this weekend anniversary fiesta filled with a whole lot of art and matcha. If you fancy stocking up on knickknacks and merchandise, matcha powders, and even gifts for the upcoming holidays, then you definitely can't miss the fair happening on October 17 and 18.

Wet Market: Art Market is taking their threes seriously; apart from throwing confetti for their third anniversary, they're also bringing an art market, a local brand row, and a mini matcha fest to Marikhain Studios in Marikina City. It's the first time they're holding a fair in the shoe capital of the Philippines, and it's only apt as Wet Market is all about fostering an inclusive community of artist by welcoming art in all shapes and sizes, be it in the form of stickers, pottery, and crafts.

Over 60 artists are selling their merchandise and wares this weekend, along with six local matcha joints ready to serve fresh green sips. There will also be a temporary tattoo workshop by Blinked Tattoos and a felt portrait workshop by The Purple Penguin PH to look forward to, and even live portraits drawn on the spot courtesy of some participating artists. Finally, capture the weekend's memories with a flip book photo booth

The Wet Market: Art Market will be at Marikhain Studios from October 17 to 18. Doors will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both days and entrace is free.
