5 Filipino-Owned Coworking Spots in Siargao for Digital Nomads (2026 Edition)

For digital nomads, Siargao’s occasional power outages, intermittent mobile signal, and spotty internet make deadlines a little more challenging to meet.

Luckily, a number of businesses have stepped up to the plate. Coworking spaces address the need not just for top-tier internet service in Siargao, but also for a flexible shared office environment. And while we love neighborhood cafes that provide a temporary work refuge, coworking spaces offer better WiFi, backup generators for brownouts, and, most of all, amenities specifically for digital nomads and freelancers. We found five—all proudly Filipino-owned—in Siargao.

Perched on the rice fields of Libertad, a quiet and scenic barangay, six to seven kilometers (or a 12 to 15-minute motorbike ride) north of General Luna, is this idyllic spot that’s a cross between a resort and an office.

Coco Space is the first solar-powered coworking space in Siargao. It gives off a modern bohemian vibe as soon as you park your motorbike. Outside, there’s a swimming pool where you can take a dip anytime, plus a shower area with towels. Next to the pool, Coco Café provides a tempting menu of tropical delights. Its alfresco area is full of cozy tables, chairs, and sunbeds. Alternatively, you can choose to have your smoothie bowl, fresh coconut, or Spanish latte anywhere in the property.

In terms of the actual working space, the air-conditioned main building feels like a tropical version of a Silicon Valley office. Here you’ll spot barefoot digital nomads glued to their laptops. They'll casually move in and out of the open space desks, call booths, conference rooms, and focus rooms, depending on what needs to be done.

But it isn't all work in the main building; there's also a community room with beanbags for rest and a coffee nook for endless cups of brew. Pro tip: Make sure to check out the bulletin board. It lists the daily activities—such as yoga, dance, massages, and workshops—that members can participate in for a small fee. All these activities are hosted just on the roof deck, so you don't have to rush anywhere else for zen once you clock out.

For digital nomads looking for a grown-up version of the hostel life, Coco offers rooms in a co-living home in Santa Fe, just a 3.6km (8-minute motorbike ride) from Coco Space. Those booked in Communal Coliving have free access to Coco Space. But if you aren't checked in, you can still use the coworking facilities by purchasing a daily, weekly, or monthly pass at Coco Space. Both the coworking and co-living spaces have backup generators to ensure your workflow remains uninterrupted.

As Libertad slowly emerges as the more laid-back alternative to General Luna, Communal Coliving makes a great stay for digital nomads. The owners told SPOT.ph that the property was intentionally kept separate from Coco Space to help maintain a healthier work-life balance. But for those staying in General Luna, the 15-minute motorbike ride to Coco Space is still well worth fitting into your remote-work routine.

A short walk from Coco Space is Siargao’s newest coworking and co-living spot, Lungga. While SIARELCO (Siargao’s electricity provider) just started powering parts of Libertad, this space is solar-powered with a backup generator, so no worries about sudden blackouts.

The spacious, high-ceiling café is what you’ll first see when you enter the property. Communal tables invite interaction, while smaller tables are for introverts who prefer to sip their coffee in peace. The café-restaurant menu features a range of comfort dishes and Filipino fare. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch the staff baking a fresh batch of cookies.

The café’s internet is free for dining customers. If you need a more dedicated space with shared office amenities, book a coworking pass. It gives you access to the sprawling coworking space on the second level.

Lungga's coworking area is air-conditioned and equipped with ergonomic seating, multiple monitors, and a private focus room (also known in corporate jargon as a phone booth or meeting pod) for important calls and online meetings. In the daytime, the window seats give you a breathtaking view of the Libertad’s greenery.

Right next door is Lungga's co-living space, where the property's modern, industrial architecture is most evident. They offer solo, twin, and queen rooms, as well as dorms or what they call tribe rooms for those who prefer the social hostel experience. Amenities include a swimming pool and a communal kitchen. Checked-in guests have free access to the coworking space.

If you want your co-living and coworking space to be in the same vicinity as your go-to café, and you need a break from General Luna’s party scene, Lungga is the space to burrow in.

There’s a curious energy when you first see the tall, graffiti-style entrance to Rucksack. Is it a party hostel? A social community? A hidden resort? You’ll soon realize it’s a little bit of everything that a backpacker needs—plus a new coworking space to keep you connected.

As the largest hostel in Siargao, Rucksack offers plenty of amenities to keep its 264 beds entertained. A man-made beach with all-day beach volleyball is right beside the pool and communal lounge. Their Latin American bar-resto-café, Cabrones, provides sustenance and hosts their daily and nightly social activities.

An extra space on the second level of the hostel was initially going to be a spa, but the management realized that their digital nomads have a need more urgent than a massage: an air-conditioned coworking space with strong and stable internet.

Thus, Wave Work was launched last year. That extra room near the dorms was turned into a shared office space that seats about 26 to 30 workers, with two phone booths included. Unlike the complimentary WiFi that all checked-in guests have access to, the separate WiFi at Wave Work is much stronger, hence the need to pay for a pass. It’s open to non-guests and comes with unlimited refills of instant coffee and access to the hotel’s other amenities, like the restaurant, in case you need a food break. Oh, and the window side of the coworking space gives you a fun view of the pool and volleyball zone, subtle reminders that you're still on a vacation after all.

But what sets Wave Work apart is that it's perfect for Siargao newbies and digital nomads who want to be in the thick of things. Rucksack is just a walk or quick motorbike ride from Cloud 9 and General Luna’s best restaurants and party spots. The social hostel and coworking space is easy to find, IMO.

Named after a species of tropical forest-dwelling butterflies, Lexias is a hostel and social space tucked in Sitio Pangpang, General Luna. There’s an art community vibe throughout the establishment, especially when you head upstairs to Gaya the hostel’s rooftop cafe-restaurant. This spot will make you feel like you’ve escaped to a bohemian paradise. There’s a boutique, pool, and sprawling deck with an amazing view of the jungle.

Here you’ll run into all sorts of creative characters, such as bookworms finishing their latest read, arts and crafters, the post-yoga and post-surf crowd, and digital nomads hoping that the WiFi signal reaches the Gaya corner they’ve chosen to work in. But blending in on the second level is the actual coworking space—one of the first on the island.

Small and quiet, it comfortably fits around 10 laptop-toting guests. Plus, it's got a dedicated coworking WiFi that gets significantly weaker as you climb up to Gaya. So if you have something you really need to accomplish, this is the place to lock in.

Lexias Hostel and Workspace is perfect if you’re the free-spirited type that gets more productive when surrounded by a vibrant, creative community.

If you drive your motorbike by that curved section of Tourism Road across Cloud 9, then you’ll probably notice the Starhouse, a nickname that locals have given this establishment with a star-shaped window and rainbow-painted entrance. It houses Alter Space, the first official coworking space that opened in Siargao in 2022. 

You won’t notice it when you first enter, but there’s a space that they’ve transformed into a quiet co-living area for digital nomads—two air-conditioned private rooms with colorful interiors inspired by the owner’s travels. The co-living space blends in well with the shared office space.

There’s an intimate, artistic vibe to the space that’s decorated with colorful accents and quirky fixtures. The air-conditioned space currently seats up to 19 laptop dwellers in task chairs and ergonomic desks. If you need more privacy for meetings, you may book the White Room for an hourly rate. They also host workshops and events for Siargao’s digital nomad community.

An in-house coffee shop serves what they call brain food—mixed nuts, lemon bars, cookies, and a number of drinks, such as French press coffee, Thai milk tea, herbal tea, soda water, and sports drinks. Vegan cookies are also available. If you need something heavier, they’ve partnered with meal deliveries from restaurants on the island. Those who get the day pass or longer get free drinks. You’re also free to bring your own food (just CLAYGO!) and use the kitchen utensils.

For digital nomads that are serious about chasing that early-morning surf, hitting their deadlines, and then catching Cloud 9’s famous sunset, Alter Space can give you the work-surf balance you need.
