PSA: You Can Craft for Free at Common Room's Mess Room This Week

(SPOT.ph) When was the last time you made something with your own hands? If you could barely remember, maybe it's time to add getting crafty to your sidequest list. But if crafting fees are stopping you from getting creative, this one's for you.

For one week only, Common Room is opening its Mess Studio to everyone who wants to reconnect with their creative side for free. Check out everything you need to know about this limited-time offer from the craft store.

From now until Sunday, June 21, Common Room will let everyone craft and create at the Mess Studio in their Atrium of Makati branch for free as part of its 11th anniversary. The space will offer free materials and free tool use for all visitors. No fees and registrations; just show up, take a seat, and get busy creating.

Not only is this a perfect time to catch up with your own art projects, experiment with different materials, or try a new craft at your own pace. It’s also an invitation to lend your creativity to Common Room’s anniversary installations across all its branches. This year’s theme is centered around the question, “What grows when we gather?”

With this in mind, visitors are encouraged to add to the store’s community canopy by making leaves from rescued fabric scraps. Common Room says each finished piece will represent “a person, project, memory, or story that helped Common Room grow over the last eleven years.”

Ready to get your curious hands busy? The Mess Room is free to use this week at the Common Room Atrium of Makati branch during store hours—that's Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. So if you're looking for something to do with fellow makers or to destress after a particularly harrowing workday, head over and create an artsy, fun mess at Common Room.
