LIST: Network Adjustments Affecting Flights In and Out of the Philippines

(SPOT.ph) The conflict in the Middle East shows no signs of easing, and with each passing day comes a fresh wave of uncertainty. While life goes on, some disruptions are unavoidable. With fuel supplies tightening—and oil caught in a conflict half a world away—transport and travel are taking some of the hardest hits.

Airlines are now adjusting operations to conserve jet fuel and safeguard their crews, which means shifting routes, schedules, and in some cases, entire flight plans. In recent weeks, carriers like Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have rolled out a series of updates—and we know it’s not always easy to keep up. So we’ve put together a running list of flight and route changes that may affect Filipino travelers.

On March 23, Cebu Pacific Air announced a slew of network adjustments including frequency reductions and flight cancellations, in response to the Middle East crisis. Here are the flights affected:

In a statement, Cebu Pacific said affected passengers have already been notified of changes to their flights. If you believe you’re impacted but haven’t received any updates, it’s best to contact the airline directly.

To help ease the disruption, Cebu Pacific is offering three options: passengers may rebook their flights at no additional cost, convert the ticket into a non-expiring Travel Fund for future use, or request a full refund. All these options are available through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website.

Philippine Airlines has yet to release a comprehensive list of flights that will be suspended or reduced long-term. Instead, the airline has been issuing regular advisories as changes arise.

As of March 26, PAL has rolled out three key updates affecting flights in and out of the Philippines—particularly for passengers bound for its Middle East hubs. Here are the affected flights.

PAL is also offering assistance for passengers affected by their network adjustments. If your Philippine Airlines booking was hit by the slew of changes, you may avail of the following options:

• Rebooking: You can move your booking to an alternative route in the same cabin class with available space within 60 days of your original flight without penalties.

• Conversion to travel credits for future use

• Full refunds.
