(SPOT.ph) Whether you want a full-body cardio workout, learn how to swim, or are simply a frustrated mermaid, swimming is always a good idea. But actually getting in the water is easier said than done. Pools in Metro Manila are often confined to condos, resorts, or a handful of public pools—that is, until now, as another public pool complex opens to the general public. Heads up, the Amoranto Sports Complex's pools are now open. Now you can practice, exercise, and everything in between at Quezon City's newest sports hub.

Check out the pool at the Amoranto Sports Complex:

After months of closure, the Amoranto Sports Complex just reopened its public pool. The complex now features a 50-meter Olympic-sized, 10-lane pool with competition-grade technology such as touchpad sensors and timing monitors.

Complementing the Olympic-sized pool are facilities like locker rooms, a dug-out, shower areas, and a separate three-lane warm-up pool. Three lifeguards will also be deployed at all times to ensure swimmer safety.

Rates for the Amoranto Sports Complex's Pool:

The entrance fee is P100 per person, although Quezon City residents can avail of a 20% discount on fees by presenting their QCitizen ID. Right now, the new Amoranto Sports Complex pool is strictly for practice and training sessions.

But if you're looking for venues to teach classes on swimming, mermaiding, and the like, you can rent the pools at the Amoranto Sports Complex daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In an interview with the Philippine News Agency, Action Officer for the Amoranto Sports Complex, Martin Martin Julian Manese, emphasizes that these locations are also meant to be venues for large-scale competitions and tournaments.

Aside from the pool, the Amoranto Sports Complex also has indoor tennis courts, professional-grade basketball courts, and a multi-purpose hall for events.

The Amoranto Sports Complex is at  140 Don A. Roces Ave, Diliman, Quezon City. Entrance starts at P100. For more information, visit the Quezon City Government Facebook page.
