Mark Your Calendars: The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition Is Back

(SPOT.ph) Heads up! There's a slew of fireworks and music shows coming up—and no, this isn't some late New Year's celebration. It's the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC). The annual fireworks and sound competition lighting up Manila Bay is back to light up the sky at the SM Mall of Asia. Get ready to see the night sky dazzle in an array of colors and patterns timed to the beats of some of the most popular tunes.

The much-anticipated fireworks and musical show will run for its 13th time from February to March 2026. It's time to start planning your Saturday trips to the SM Mall of Asia with your friends, family, and loved ones to watch an amazing sky symphony as the Philippines hosts the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition again.

Dubbed the "world's largest lights and music show," the PIPC is an annual competition among fireworks manufacturers from around the world. For five straight Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. sharp, Seaside Boulevard at the SM Mall of Asia becomes the battleground for pyro-musical supremacy as competing countries from around the world, such as Canada, the United Kingdom, the USA, and China, light up the sky with colorful displays timed to the beat of their chosen tracks.

This year, the competition will run from March 7 to April 11, with a total of eight competitors, a.k.a., about two back-to-back shows a night—that's at least an hour and 30 minutes of pure pyrotechnical bliss. But before you start planning your trips to root for the Philippines, sadly, as the host country, the Philippines cannot participate in the competition. However, we can still show our Pinoy pride during our exhibition shows during the opening (February 21) and closing (March 21) ceremonies. 

Don't worry, it's still a great show regardless. So gather up your nearest and dearest and brace yourselves for two rounds of a thrilling showdown of color, timing, and flawless synchronization.

There are several ticketing tiers to enjoy the PIPC, with ticket prices ranging from P200 to P3,000.
