New Flight Alert: Direct Manila to Chicago Flights Start This November

(SPOT.ph) If you’re dreaming of visiting family in the Midwest, trying the famous deep-dish pizza, or watching one of many Chicago ball games, then you’re in luck. The journey to the Windy City just got a lot smoother, with long layovers now a thing of the past. Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially announced that it’s launching direct flights from Manila to Chicago starting November 9.

This marks the first-ever direct route between the two cities, with most flights currently requiring a layover in hubs like Tokyo or Incheon. Read on for more details about this new non-stop service by the national flag carrier—and why you’ll want to book ASAP.

Starting this November, PAL will fly non-stop between Manila and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) three times a week. The flights are scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with flights departing Manila in the afternoon and arriving in Chicago in the afternoon local time (same day). The return service will depart Chicago later in the evening and arrive in Manila early in the morning (two days later).

To mark the launch, PAL is offering special introductory rates for round-trip Economy flights, starting at USD 1,159 (approximately P66,500). These discounted prices are only available for bookings until May 31, so make sure you don’t miss out.
