(SPOT.ph) It’s never too early to plan your upcoming holiday—especially if you're planning on exploring an exciting location further away from your usual stomping grounds.
If you’ve ever dreamt of exploring the winding streets of India, tasting the bold flavors and spices of their cuisine, and traveling through the deserts and tundras of the Indian subcontinent, you’re in luck. Philippine Airlines has you covered with two new international destinations in the South Asian country.
Here’s what we know about them so far.
Philippine Airlines launches new direct flights to India
Starting in December 2026, PAL will launch weekly nonstop flights from Manila to Delhi and Mumbai, two of India’s largest and busiest cities. The new routes bring India—known for its bold flavors, vibrant culture, and diverse landscapes—a little closer to the Philippines.

This is exciting news for travelers planning to visit these cities, as they’ll now have more direct-flight options beyond Air India, which launched its Manila–Delhi service in October last year, or connecting flights via Malaysia, Singapore, or Thailand.
Schedule of PAL flights from Manila to India
Both routes will fly travelers aboard the Airbus A321neo aircraft, which can accommodate up to 168 passengers per flight. There will be three flights from Manila to Delhi, and four flights from Manila to Mumbai every week.

And in case you need a reminder, Filipinos need to apply for an e-Tourist Visa when entering India. Luckily, if you're staying for 30 days or less, it's free.
Things to do in India
India is home to a diverse landscape—parts of the Himalayan mountains up North, the dry and arid Thar Desert in the West, and the coastal towns along the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Lucky for you, Mumbai and Delhi are great starting points for adventures across the Indian subcontinent. Bus terminals, train stations, and airports abound, so connecting to other Indian states is relatively easy from these main cities.
But you don't have to go far to explore. Delhi is packed with centuries of history, grand architecture, and plenty of street-side chaos. You can go on a spiritual retreat at the Lotus Temple; marvel at Humayun's Tomb, a massive Mughal tomb that helped inspire the Taj Mahal; and experience the sights, smells, and snacks of the Chandni Chowk.

But don't count out Mumbai just yet. This city blends history, culture, and coastal charm. Visit the Gateway of India, marvel at the grand architecture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, take in the views along Marine Drive, and wander through the colorful streets and food stalls of Colaba.
