(SPOT.ph) Baguio, Zambales, and Pangasinan—these northern destinations are great for off-season beach trips and weekend mountain adventures, especially as the weather cools. If you're planning a trip up north anytime soon, the bus trip there just got more convenient, especially aboard Victory Liner buses.

Starting September 25, select Victory Liner terminals will be rolling out their new Show & Scan system, an improvement to their current boarding and ticketing process designed to make trips more seamless. Here's what you need to know.

Check out Victory Liner’s Show & Scan system

Show & Scan is Victory Liner’s newly opened paperless ticketing service, now available for trips departing from or arriving to Caloocan, Kamias, Olongapo, and Pasay terminals.

With this fully digital system, you no longer need to print your online booking or line up to buy your ticket at the terminals. All you need is your phone. Just present the QR code sent to your booking confirmation email, have it scanned before boarding your bus, and you’re good to go.

This is great news not only for frequent travelers, but also for those who typically book their tickets online but don’t have ready access to a printer. QR passes also make sense since it will speed up the boarding process for both the passengers and the bus conductors.

How to use Victory Liner’s Show and Scan system

Ready to go paperless for your next trip with Victory Liner? Choose your trip date and time on the Victory Liner website (make sure you’re booking a trip to or from participating terminals), use an active email address, and pay online. If your online booking is successful, you'll receive a QR code and receipt by email.

On the day of your trip, make sure you have the QR code ready in your email before heading to the terminal. To be safe, keep your phone's internet data active so you can access the QR code from your email anytime. Pro tip: You can also save a copy of the QR code on your device so you can show it to the bus conductor even if the signal is poor at the terminal

Not having to print anything or line up at the ticket counters is a big convenience for travelers, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Victory Liner will roll this system out to more terminals soon!

Visit Victory Liner’s website and Facebook page for more information.

Editor's note: As of Monday, September 28, 2026, Victory Liner's online booking platform is undergoing maintenance and is temporarily unavailable. Check back soon to use Victory Liner's Show & Scan.
