PSA: UP Diliman Is Holding an Alumni Dog Walk This October
No better reason to revisit your old stomping grounds.

(SPOT.ph) If the daily grind has you itching for a break, here’s a good reason to pause—or rather, to take a paws. The UP Diliman Alumni Relations and UP Friends of Campus Animals (FOCA UP) are giving alumni a chance to step away from work and reconnect with their beloved campus—this time, dogs in tow; it’s the ultimate weekend activity for (aging) Iskos and Iskas who have a sweet spot for man's best friend.
Mark your calendars for Pa(c)k-babalik: UP Diliman Alumni Dog Walk, a one-day event inviting alumni back for a special morning stroll alongside the university’s Emotional Support Animals. It’s still a few months away, giving you some time to wrangle your old college friends and plan the outing. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming alumni pack walk.

Taking place on Saturday, October 10 at 8 a.m., the event brings former students together at the Academic Oval for a stroll around the heart of the campus.
Most importantly, you’ll have the sweetest little walk buddies. Participants will get to meet and hang out with the Emotional Support Animals of FOCA UP, as well as the Diliman Wellness Animals cared for by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and the Office of Student Housing.
Grounded in a shared love for animals, the event creates a unique, casual setting for alumni to catch up with their alma mater and fellow graduates. It’s a fresh way to strengthen the UP Diliman community while cultivating alumni participation in local animal welfare. Plus, the pack walk spotlights FOCA UP’s ongoing efforts, giving everyone on the walk an opportunity to continue supporting campus animals.
Really, there are few better ways to revisit your old stomping grounds than with these adorable pups leading the way.
How to join
The event is open to UP Diliman alumni. To book a slot for the walk, you can register through the online sign-up form. Aside from your name and email address, the form asks for your degree, graduation year, and student number (which is likely still burned in your memory).
After registering, wait for a confirmation email from the organizers. Walk-ins are typically not accepted for pack walks in the campus.
