Krispy Kreme Teams Up With Chef Nouel for More Dubai Chocolate Magic

(SPOT.ph) Chef Nouel Catis is everywhere these days—if there’s a way to sneak in a chocolate-pistachio-kataifi twist, trust that he’s already done it, or he's already about to do it. He's worked his magic everyhwere from a mano to Steak & Frice, Ramen Ron, The Balmore Suites, Auro Café, The Matcha Tokyo, and even Miele. Now, he’s adding Krispy Kreme to his impressive growing roster of collaborations—and to everyone else's must-try dessert bucket list.

Krispy Kreme's collaboration with Chef Nouel starts with three doughnuts (price starts at P200 each), two of which are a perfect Princess Diaries-level transformation of his SNA'AP Dubai and Manila chocolate bars into beignet-style doughnuts. There's the Dubai Pistachio Kunafa that's generously filled with velvety pistachio cream, then double-dipped in pistachio kunafa chocolate and rich Belgian milk chocolate. It's topped with toasted kataifi for crunch, plus splatters of melted orange and blue chocolate, and a final dusting of pistachio-kataifi mix.

On the other hand, the Manila Ube Baklava is filled with a nutty, ube-tinted baklava cream, then double-dipped in ube baklava chocolate, rich Belgian chocolate, and toasted kataifi, then finished with a drizzle of purple chocolate and a cashew-kataifi mix for that extra flair.

Meanwhile, Fukuoka Strawberry Fields marks something completely new from Chef Nouel: a sweet-tangy treat filled with cheesecake cream and strawberry, double-dipped in a strawberry coating, and topped with a dash of pink chocolate and spiced cookie crumbs.

And because doughnuts go well with coffee, Krispy Kreme also launched a drink inspired by Chef Nouel’s viral creation. Think of the Dubai Pistachio Iced Mocha Latte (P270) as a drink version of the Dubai Chocolate bar—it's made with indulgent Belgian chocolate, a rich espresso shot, pistachio sauce, condensed milk, and creamy milk, then it's all crowned with sea salt kreme and a pistachio-kataifi mix.

While collaborations are nothing new for Chef Nouel, this one is a milestone for Krispy Kreme as this marks their first-ever partnership with a chef. It’s a bold move for the brand, and if we were to manifest into the universe, this could very well signal the start of a new era of chef-driven, local, gourmet doughnuts on their displays.
