What to expect at Disney’s Moana Live-to-Film Concert
Happening on October 3 and 4, 2 p.m. at The Theatre at Solaire, Disney’s Moana Live-to-Film Concert will feature a full screening of the beloved animated film accompanied by a live orchestral performance of its award-winning soundtrack.
ICYDK, Grammy®-winning orchestral composer Mark Mancina, award-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Opetaia Foa‘i of the Polynesian band Te Vaka collaborated to put together the island-inspired rhythms, melodies, and songs that Moana is now known for. But for this film-to-real experience, the OST will be performed live by the 78-member Filharmonika Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga.
Of course, the live orchestra performance will include fan favorites such as You’re Welcome, We Know the Way, and the Oscar®-nominated How Far I’ll Go. Whether you’ve got a live-action movie hangover or simply want to upgrade your viewing experience with live music, consider adding this film concert experience to your social calendars this October.
