Free Hospital Rides Are Available for Taguig Residents

(SPOT.ph) Getting to and from the hospital can be just as stressful as the treatment itself—especially if you’re doing it regularly. Luckily for residents in Taguig City, the city offers free transportation for scheduled hospital visits around Metro Manila.

This free hatid-at-sundo service is for Taguig residents who need to go to medical appointments, treatments, or procedures. The service runs from Monday to Friday, covering trips to hospitals, clinics, and health centers within Metro Manila.

The program is meant for non-emergency cases that still require regular or scheduled hospital visits. This includes patients undergoing dialysis, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy, as well as others who need medical procedures or treatments that aren’t considered emergencies.

To book a ride, residents need to send a text message to 0961-704-4760 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The message should include the patient’s name, contact number, complete address with the pickup point and nearest landmark, the time of the medical appointment or procedure, the destination hospital or clinic, and proof of the scheduled medical appointment.

Before you go booking a ride, there are a few things to keep in mind. Requests must be sent at least two days before the scheduled treatment or procedure. This is because slots are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Each patient is allowed one companion only.

If the appointment is cancelled, residents are asked to inform the city immediately so the slot can be reassigned.

Taguig also clarified that this service is strictly for scheduled medical trips. For emergencies, residents should contact the Taguig Command Center at (02) 8789-3200 or Taguig Rescue at 0919-070-3112.
