GUIDE: Banking Hours for the 2025 Holidays

(SPOT.ph) The holidays are coming up, which means banks will be taking breaks, too. If you’re planning withdrawals, transfers, or last-minute errands before Christmas and New Year, it’s best to know which branches are open—and when to rely on apps instead.

Expect most banks to be closed on holidays. December 24 (Wednesday), December 26 (Friday), and December 31 (Wednesday) are special non-working holidays, while December 25 (Thursday) and December 30 (Tuesday) are regular holidays.

The bright side is that clients can still transact through the app or website, at least for most banks. Just take note of any reminders before financial transactions to save yourself the hassle in this limbo period.

For most transactions, clients can continue to use BDO Online, BDO Pay, ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines, and Universal Teller Machines. As of the latest advisory, BDO has not released updates on branch operations for December 25, December 30, and January 1, 2026.

All Security Bank branches will be closed nationwide on December 25 and January 1, 2026. However, it will have limited branch operations on select dates with shortened hours:

December 24

• Dipolog: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

December 30

• Bukidnon–Valencia: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Surigao: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

December 31

• Dipolog: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

All PSBank branches will be closed on the following dates:

• December 24, 2025

While branches are closed, PSBank Mobile Banking, Online Banking, and ATMs will remain available 24/7 throughout the holiday break.

During the holidays—December 24, December 25, and December 30, December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026—UnionBank branches will be closed.

Over-the-counter transactions such as bills payment, check releasing, cash services, and foreign exchange will not be processed while branches are affected by the holiday schedule. These services will resume on the next banking days: December 26, December 29, and January 2, depending on the transaction.
