Women Can Get Free Birth or Marriage Certificates This March—Here's How

(SPOT.ph) Need a copy of your birth or marriage certificate? Women in Metro Manila can get one for free this March—if they’re quick enough.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is offering free copies of birth or marriage certificates for women every Monday of March 2026 at select Civil Registry System (CRS) outlets across Metro Manila. The catch: only the first 100 applicants will be accommodated at each site.

The free service is part of activities tied to National Women’s Month, allowing women with transactions at participating outlets to request one civil registry document without paying the usual processing fee. Normally, a copy requested at a PSA outlet costs P155 per document. Online orders with delivery cost more at P365 per copy.

Note that only one certificate per person will be issued for free during the promotion.

Even though the certificate itself is free, applicants are still required to book an appointment through the PSA’s online appointment system before visiting the chosen CRS outlet. Don't forget to bring one valid government ID!

Participating PSA CRS offices are located in Quezon City, Caloocan City, Muntinlupa City, Makati City, San Juan City, Parañaque City, and Valenzuela City.

Most outlets operate during regular government office hours, typically 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday, depending on the branch, so visitors are encouraged to arrive early for their scheduled appointment.

The PSA is also holding another activity later this month as part of the celebration. On March 27, a Civil Registration and National ID Caravan will take place at Barangay Kaybanban in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The caravan will offer services such as free National ID registration, validation, and consultations for residents who have questions about civil registration or the National ID system.
