You Can Now Access Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates via GCash—Here’s How

(SPOT.ph) Still lining up at the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) branches for a birth certificate? That may no longer be necessary, as civil registry documents can now be requested through GCash.

The PSA has rolled out PSAHelpline in the GCash app via GLife, allowing users to access official copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates, as well as the Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) and the Certificate of No Death (CENODEATH).

Requests can be made for a PDF download or for doorstep delivery under the Government Services category in GLife. You can even request documents for someone else, on behalf of a parent or child.

The integration comes after the PSA’s September 2025 rollout of its Viewable Online and DocPrint services under the online Serbilis platform, which allowed users to request civil registry documents without an appointment—only for the entire Serbilis system to be suspended two months later in November 2025.

Before you make that request, take note that only fully verified GCash users can access the service. Your name and birthdate in the app must match your official records. You’ll also need enough balance in your wallet—the fee starts at P300.

To begin, open the GCash app and scroll to the left under “Explore the App” until you see GLife. From there, search for PSAHelpline or find it under Government Services.

Allow PSAHelpline to access your GCash information, then tap "Continue." Read the Terms and Conditions, scroll all the way down, and tap "I agree."

Review your full name and birthdate as reflected in your GCash account, then submit.

Once inside the service, fill out the request form: choose the type of certificate, indicate who the document is for, state the purpose, and select how you want to receive it—either PDF download or delivery.

For PDF downloads, which are available within one to three business days, birth, marriage, and death certificates cost P300. CENOMAR and CENODEATH requests cost P360.

For physical delivery, fees are slightly higher. Birth, marriage, and death certificates cost P365, while CENOMAR and CENODEATH documents cost P420. Delivery takes one to three business days within Metro Manila and three to eight business days for other cities and provinces.

If you choose delivery, enter your address and, if needed, assign an authorized person to receive the document (they must be over 18 years old with a valid ID).

You may request one to 10 copies of the same document type in a single order. However, different document types should be filed separately.

Review your details carefully since you can’t edit or cancel your application once paid. If you make a mistake in your details or decide you want a physical copy instead of a PDF (or vice versa), you’ll need to submit a new request. Fees are non-refundable as well.

Once everything is in order, tap "Place Order" and "Pay via GCash." Updates on your order will be sent via SMS and email.
