Your Guide to eGovPH: How to Access Government IDs and Services in One App
A must-have for every Filipino.
Published on Aug 4, 2025
(SPOT.ph) Let’s be honest: the Philippines has lagged behind
when it comes to digitizing government services. While other countries have had
unified apps for years, we’ve been stuck with clunky websites and in-person queues. That’s where the eGovPH app comes
in—or at least, that’s the idea. It provides access to digital IDs, permits, and even license renewals, all from your phone.
The eGovPH Super App was launched by the Department of
Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in May 2023 as part of the
Marcos administration’s push to streamline government transactions and eliminate
red tape. Public attention around the app ramped up in mid-2025 after a rapid
rollout of new features, including travel tax payments, traffic violation
checks, and integration with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) systems for paying fines.
So is it worth downloading on your low-storage phone? What exactly can you do with it and how much of it
actually works? Here's your straightforward guide to using eGovPH.
Everything you need to know about the eGovPH app
To create an account on the eGovPH app, start by downloading
it from the Play Store or App Store.
Once installed, enter your mobile number and input the one-time password sent via SMS.
To access most features on the eGovPH app, creating
an account isn’t enough. You need to go through full verification by entering personal details such as your full name, birthdate, and home address. You’ll
also be asked to provide a digital signature and complete a facial scan using
your phone’s camera. This process links your account to your PhilSys records—the government's national identity system that stores the information linked to your National ID. Only after completing these steps will you be able to use key
features like digital IDs, payments, and license renewals.
Make sure your mobile number matches what’s on your PhilSys
record. Currently, the app does not allow you to change your registered mobile
number after verification so if you lose access to that number, you’ll need to
delete your account and start over.

Digital IDs
One of the most useful features of the eGovPH app is its Digital
ID wallet. If you’re a verified user with a PhilSys Number, you can access
digital versions of your National ID and other government-issued credentials.
As of mid-2025, the app supports the following:
PhilSys
ID (National ID) Driver's License PhilHealth ID Senior
Citizen ID OWWA
OFW ID Professional Identification Card (PRC ID)
These digital IDs can be used for authentication, travel,
and government transactions—no need to carry the physical card every time. The National
ID can also be accessed offline through the app once you’re
verified, making it easier to show even without mobile data or WiFi.

National government services
The eGovPH app allows users to access various portals from
national agencies through a single dashboard. Instead of manually searching for each website, you can simply tap the agency you need. Some services are accessible within the app, while others will redirect you to the agency's official site, where you may need to log in again using separate credentials.
Social Security System (SSS) Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Pag-IBIG
Fund Land Transportation Office (LTO) Professional
Regulation Commission (PRC) Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Department
of Trade and Industry (DTI) National
Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA)
For example, clicking on the Land Transportation Office (LTO) opens the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) within the app, allowing users to check and pay traffic violations, including those under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP). You can view details of your violation, access photo or video evidence, and settle penalties without leaving the platform.
Key agencies integrated into the app include:
Keep in mind that not all listed agencies are fully integrated—some may appear in the app but don't offer any digital services yet. eGovPH is still a work in progress, so this depends on each agency's level of implementation.

Local government unit services
You can also use eGovPH to transact with select local
government units (LGUs). This means you can access city hall-type services without
physically going there.
Application
and renewal of business permits Community
Tax Certificate (CEDULA) issuance Access
to civil registry documents (birth, marriage, death certificates) Payment
of local taxes and clearances
As of mid-2025, over 920 LGUs—almost two-thirds of all municipalities and cities—are integrated into the app, with more expected to join. Just select your city during registration to see what’s available in your area. Features vary by LGU but may include:
Travel declarations via eTravel
If you're traveling in or out of the country, you can
generate your eTravel QR code through the app.
Although the etravel.gov.ph website still functions
independently, using the app can save you time if you’re already a verified
user. You just log in, tap "eTravel," and complete your travel
details from there.
SIM card registration
The eGovPH app provides direct access to SIM card registration portals for major mobile networks. Tapping on your provider takes you to its official registration page, where you’ll be asked to upload a valid ID, take a selfie, and confirm your details.
Globe Smart DITO GOMO
Take note that the app doesn’t register your SIM directly, but it does help you get to the right link faster. Supported networks include:
Report
The Report section in the eGovPH app lets you file complaints and incidents directly from your phone—no need for calls or office visits. It covers issues like crime, online fraud, corruption, abuse, defective products, and more.
To file a report, you open the app, go to the “More” section, and select “Report.” You’ll then be asked to choose a category, provide your name and contact information, describe the incident, and upload photos or screenshots as evidence. Once submitted, the report is sent to the appropriate agency. Emergency-related reports are routed through the Philippine National Police's LERIS system for faster response, while consumer complaints are handled by agencies like the Department of Trade and Industry.
The feature makes it easier to report problems quickly, but take note that it doesn’t currently offer tracking updates within the app.
