Free Anti-Rabies Shots for Pets Are Now Available at More QC Locations

(SPOT.ph) Between food, grooming, vitamins, vet visits, and the occasional toy they will ignore in favor of a cardboard box, being a pet owner can get expensive fast. So when there’s a free service for something as important as anti-rabies vaccination, it’s worth taking note.
The Quezon City Veterinary Department is offering free anti-rabies vaccination through the Accessible Rabies Care (ARC) Project, with participating city vaccination stations and partner private clinics across the city.
It's open to any pet, regardless of breed, as long as they meet these three requirements: they must be at least three months old, healthy at the time of vaccination, and not currently taking any medication.
If your pet meets all those requirements, you can proceed with the actual booking process. Pet owners must register each pet through PAWNEC and present a QCitizen ID upon arrival to avail of the free anti-rabies vaccination.

How to get free anti-rabies vaccination in Quezon City
The PAWNEC registration is meant to create a record for your pet, so expect to share the usual basics: your mobile number or e-mail address, name, and house address. You’ll also need to tick the terms and conditions and agree to register your pet with the government and other essential veterinary services.
Creating your pet's profile will generate an eHealth Card with a QR code. Think of it as your pet’s own little digital record, which can be presented to vets, groomers, or pet-friendly establishments.
To book a vaccination slot, click “+ Add New,” then choose “+ Add New Appointment.” From there, select your preferred clinic branch in Quezon City, then pick your preferred date and time. That's it!
Pro-tip: Before booking through PAWNEC, choose the clinic that is most convenient for you from the list below. The appointment page doesn't arrange the clinic options alphabetically, so it helps to know which branch you’re looking for before you start scrolling.
