(SPOT.ph) If you’ve ever rushed to the nearest gas station after hearing that prices are going up the next day, you can rest easy now. You'll be glad to know there’s an app called PriceLOCQ that allows motorists to buy fuel at today’s price and use it later—even after prices go up.

Here's how it works: These liters brought in advance are stored in a virtual tank (the app) until you’re ready to redeem them at a participating SEAOIL station. You can carry as much as 600 liters across all fuel grades at any given time.

The idea is almost utopian, but it's pretty simple. If prices have gone up since you topped up, you still redeem at the lower rate you secured earlier. If prices have gone down, you can opt to buy again at the new rate instead of consuming your stored balance.

How to use PriceLOCQ to save on rising fuel prices

You can download PriceLOCQ on both iOS and Android. Register using a Philippine mobile number and set your PIN.

Inside the dashboard, tap “Top-Up Liter Balance.” Choose your fuel type—Diesel or Gasoline 91, 95, or 97—enter how many liters you want to purchase, and complete payment using the available cash-in options. Once paid, those liters are converted into credits stored in your account.

When you pull into a participating SEAOIL station, tell the attendant you’re paying through PriceLOCQ. After fueling, open the app, tap “Scan to Pay,” scan the station’s QR code, and confirm the transaction. You don't need to present anything else at the pump.

PriceLOCQ also functions as a digital wallet called LOCQPay. Users can cash in via cards, online banking, or e-wallets and use that balance for QR payments at participating stations. The app integrates SEAOIL’s VIP loyalty program, so points are automatically earned and tracked in the account. There’s also a built-in station finder to locate participating branches nationwide.

SEAOIL will sometimes offer promotions on the platform, so you can save even more. For instance, RCBC credit cardholders can receive up to P5 off per liter, capped at 150 liters per month, until May 15, 2026.

Beyond fuel, LOCQPay can be used to reload Easytrip and Autosweep RFIDs, as well as pay for select SEAOIL products and services such as lubricants and LPG.
