(SPOT.ph) Another week, another fuel price hike. Watching the numbers at the pump climb higher with every visit is becoming just as stressful as navigating the metro’s worst traffic. But there’s a way to save a few precious pesos: start swiping. From hidden rebates to direct discounts, your credit and debit cards just might help you chase cheaper fuel. Here are the best, most practical deals to use at the gas station right now.

BPI: 3% fuel rebate

Eligible Card: BPI Petron Card

If you’re armed with the BPI Petron Card, saving on fuel is a given. Cardholders can enjoy a 3% rebate every time they pull up to one of the over 1,200 participating Petron stations nationwide. New cardholders even get a P200 fuel voucher as a welcome gift—and you know every single liter counts these days. The annual rebate is capped at P15,000, but if you’ve managed to save that much in 2026, you’ve officially won.

Metrobank: 3% fuel rebate

Eligible Cards: Metrobank Toyota Mastercard and Toyota Platinum Card

Another card aimed at gas guzzlers is the Metrobank Toyota Mastercard, which gives cardholders a 3% rebate at Petron. The newer Toyota Platinum Card (released just this March) takes it up a notch with 3% rebates on toll fees and all gas stations both locally and abroad.

Both cards cap their rebates at P15,000 per calendar year. Perks also include a 10% discount on genuine parts, accessories, and labor for Toyota vehicles under the cardholder’s name. It’s a smart choice to keep your car in shape and fueled up without breaking the bank during these hard times.

Union Bank: Up to 5% fuel rebate

Eligible Card: UnionBank Shell Power Visa Platinum

Next up is UnionBank Shell Power Visa Platinum, granting motorists a breather with 5% rebates for every top-up at Shell. The savings don’t stop at the pump, either. You’ll also enjoy 5% rebates on toll fees, as well as auto repairs, accessories, and other services at Shell. Although capped at P15,000 per year, this combination of discounts is a huge relief to motorists struggling with the ever-increasing fuel prices.

EastWest: Up to P4 off per liter at Unioil

Eligible Cards: All EastWest Credit Cards

EastWest Bank’s partnership with Unioil is a lifesaver just as fuel prices are skyrocketing. Available to all active EastWest credit cardholders, this deal grants an automatic discount at the pump. You can avail of the discount for up to three transactions per day (accumulating up to 80 liters). And the best part? The promo is active all the way until December 31, 2026.

  • Diesel: P2.50 off per liter

  • Gas 91: P3 off per liter

  • Gas 95: P4 off per liter

Chinabank: 5% fuel rebate

Eligible Cards: Chinabank Platinum, World, and Wealth Mastercard

For one of the most flexible fuel rebate programs in the market, turn to your Chinabank credit card. Cardholders of the Platinum, World, and Wealth Mastercards get a 5% fuel rebate regardless of where they gas up. This rebate feature is capped at P250 per transaction or P500 per statement cycle, which covers about P10,000 worth of fuel every month.

RCBC: Up to P5 off per liter at Seaoil via the PriceLOCQ app

Eligible Cards: RCBC Mastercard, Visa, or JCB Credit Cards

If you haven’t downloaded the PriceLOCQ app yet, then maybe this is your sign. RCBC is partnering with this fuel-locking app to give cardholders an exclusive fuel discount at SeaOil stations nationwide. By using your RCBC card to top up your Liter Balance in the app, you can effectively chase cheaper fuel prices at the pump. The discount is substantial and applies to a maximum of 150 liters per month on all fuel types. However, you’ll have to ask fast; this specific promo only runs until May 15, 2026.

  • Diesel: P2 off per liter

  • Extreme U (91): P4 off per liter

  • Extreme 95: P4 off per liter

  • Extreme 97: P5 off per liter

The beauty of PriceLOCQ is that you get to lock in your fuel before they (inevitably) go up the following week. If you buy 50 liters today using your RCBC discount and the price jumps by P2 next week, your 50 liters are already paid for at the lower rate.

HSBC: 3% rebate at Caltex

Eligible Cards: All HSBC Credit Cards

Every HSBC cardholder is bound for Caltex right now. Using any HSBC card to fuel up at participating stations nationwide grants you a 3% rebate on your credit card bill. If you’re a new cardholder, the deal is even sweeter: you get a 6% rebate on your very first transaction. (Wait until you’re almost empty to make it count.)

Plus, if you’re gassing up with your HSBC card between now and May 31, 2026, you get a chance to win up to P150,000. Earn five entries on your first transaction of the month and one entry for every P1,000 spent after that.
