You Can Reserve Parking Spots in Advance Through This App—Here’s How It Works
Make parking one less thing to worry about on your next drive.

(SPOT.ph) Driving in Metro Manila is stressful enough, but the real nightmare usually begins once you start looking for a place to park. What if we could make that whole process a little more efficient—say, by letting people secure a spot before they even arrive?
A study by LuvPark points out the scale of the mismatch: there are around 14 million vehicles across the country, yet only 264 designated parking spaces are documented. It’s no surprise then that motorists end up wasting 20 to 30 minutes circling for a slot, a delay that LuvPark President Charles Dumancas said adds roughly 30% to overall traffic congestion. The issue has become even more urgent now that Metro Manila began enforcing a ban on street parking along its busiest roads last September.
This is where LuvPark steps in. Instead of hoping for the best, the app shows real-time parking availability before you’ve even left your house. It also indicates exactly how many slots are open for both motor vehicles and motorcycles, with rates displayed upfront for complete transparency. LuvPark Vice President Leeroy Shoko calls the Philippines' parking situation an “underutilization of parking spaces” because many parking lots—from government buildings to commercial establishments to residential condominiums—are left idle because they aren’t connected to a centralized system.
So, how does one use the app?

How to reserve parking spot in advance through LuvPark
Before anything else, make sure to download LuvPark from the App Store or Google Play.
Once installed, motorists can reserve a slot in advance for the hour, day, or week they actually need it. Navigation is included too, letting you follow directions straight to the lot. When you've arrived at your time, a LuvPark attendant will guide you to the reserved area. For now, the actual blocking is still manual, with cones marking your reservation, but the company states it’s working toward more automated systems as it expands.
Something to note: LuvPark started in Bacolod before expanding to Metro Manila, where it only operates in 22 locations for now. It’s still a long way from covering every major parking area in the region, but it’s a start—especially now that it’s present in key business districts like Ortigas and Makati.
Rates vary per establishment, ranging from P30 base fees to P300 overnight parking fees, but the app keeps everything visible, as shown above.
Payments can be handled directly inside the app, with support for GCash, Maya, credit and debit cards, and a token-based in-app wallet depending on the partner facility. The system also logs your time in and out so parking fees are computed automatically. Since the platform is developed by an all-Filipino team from Bacolod City, local requirements such as senior citizen and persons with disabilities (PWD) discounts are already integrated into the app.
Even if your destination hasn’t partnered with LuvPark yet, the app still helps by suggesting nearby parking spaces you can check out yourself.
