This Global Company Offers Virtual Programs For Students Looking For An Internship
A quick guide on why you should join the fun and unforgettable virtual experience.
We’ve all had to jump hurdles to adjust to the new normal, but real talk: Students have had it tough. Virtual learning and online classes have been a challenge, and it’s especially true for college students preparing to jumpstart their careers. Stressing about the future, shifting everything online, and coping with a pandemic? The struggle is real.
The real world is huge, and it’s changing a lot every day—but beyond attending class, there are definitely ways to prepare for life after graduation. And you can do this even amid the lockdown through Unilever Business Week, a week-long immersion into Unilever with a guaranteed two-month internship.
Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, Unilever Business Week is continuing to thrive in a new and improved virtual format—and they’ve managed to make online learning opportunities engaging, even with everyone taking part from home. Watch this video:
For example, the program’s Future Leaders’ League—Unilever’s global business case competition for undergraduate students—brought together students from around the country to showcase their exceptional leadership skills on an international stage. This global business case competition gives participants the opportunity to create a real business impact on an actual business challenge.
Ten teams out of over 100 applicants were chosen last February 19 to compete for the championship title in the National Finals. Qualified mentors were assigned to help prepare the finalists—from learning about the host Unilever brand Pond’s and the multinational’s digital commerce platform to even presentation skills to business acumen.
Chairman of Unilever Philippines Benjie Yap, along with Vice President for Beauty & Personal Care Dorothy Dee-Ching and select Unilever leaders, were present at the National Finals.
The finalists also received surprise care packages right before the closing ceremony. As the first virtual-format event executed by the company, Unilever Business Week shows how powerful good mentorship can be, no matter the platform you use.
That said, taking part in another virtual experience like this year’s Unilever Business Week will definitely help you get one step closer to reaching your career goals, no matter your field of specialization. You can choose from programs like Customer Development, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Research and Development, Supply Chain, and Unilever Operations.
If you’re an undergraduate student looking for internship opportunities this year—and are set to graduate in 2022—then don’t miss your chance to apply for Unilever Business Week 2021 here. The deadline for applications is on March 8, 2021.
