Books Are P250 Per Kilo at This Big Sale—Here's Everything You Need to Know

(SPOT.ph) An entire venue filled with books? It seems like a world that can only be found inside fictional universes. But it's real, and you only need to pay P250 for every kilo of books you get at the biggest Books Per Kilo fair happening on May 8. Here's everything you need to know before the big day.

With the rise of analog hobbies and people returning to reading more and more books instead of doomscrolling, Nameless Books holding a big books-per-kilo fair comes at the perfect time. It will be located at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig, like last year. Previous runs were also at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang.

Aside from strong arms needed to lift all the kilos of books at the upcoming fair, better prepare patience and perseverance, plus a little bit of luck. The whole venue is going to be filled with piles and piles of titles, and it can and will get chaotic with everyone trying to find a title that they want. The beauty in it is that you'll never know which hidden gems you're going to stumble upon! Bags will be provided while you're picking, but feel free to bring your own bag for less hassle.

Here's how it will work if it's your first time (or if you need a refresher). After you browse and pick the books you want, you will proceed to the weighing station to get your books weighed in and get a weight stub. It will have the weight, total amount of books, and payment method. Remember, all books will be priced at P250 per kilogram. After getting your stub, the staff will pack and secure your books. You can either purchase a shopping bag or a box for the books. Eco bags are P50 per piece while boxes will be weighed in with the books.

You will then proceed to the cashier and hand over your weight stub, and there you will complete your transaction. Get the handover receipt and exit pass from the cashier, then submit the exit pass to security before exiting.

They will accept cash, GCash, card, and credit card as modes of payment. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No need for registration or to pay for entrance. Doors are open from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

The biggest Books Per Kilo fair will be on May 8, and is located at the Metrotent Convention Center, Metrowalk Commercial Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig. Doors are open from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
