Carry Om Bags Are Up to 30% Off at Their 24-Hour Online Sale

The local bag brand celebrated their anniversary with an in-person sale back in March complete with artist collabs, eager buyers, and special offerings. If you couldn't drop by or are seriously regretting not buying that one bag, you still have a chance to call it yours. Carry Om is holding an online sale for 24 hours this weekend and you better act fast!

Now is not the time for hesitations. The Carry Om website is going on sale for only 24 hours, from April 11, 12 p.m. to April 12, 12 p.m. The Bhumi bags and straps are at 30% off , while everything else is 20% off. The Mala Artist Collabs and pink bags, however, are excluded from the sale.

The Mala Artist Collabs feature the work of local artists Jim Weaver, Sab Cabredo, Studio Siriusdan, Bitto, Jethro Olba, Riesolai, and Deejae Paeste on the brand's signature silhouette, the Mala. The collaboration is a special release for the brand's anniversary and blends the wonder of Filipino creatives and the magic of Carry Om's in-house cutters and sewers. It's also an homage to the brand's strong friendship with Filipino artists.

As explained by co-founder Viktoria Salazar during the pop-up, bags with pink fabrics are more difficult to produce since the color rarely ends up in their workshop. The brand sticks true to their process of working with deadstock materials and fabric that would otherwise go to landfills, so they make the most of what they have and upcycle pieces with colors and textiles that come their way. This means they don't get to choose or pick, making each bag unique, and the pink ones limited.

Still thinking twice? You better get your head in the game. According to the website, once the pieces are gone, they're gone. No restocks, no extensions. The very nature of upcycling with available materials makes it so that every bag is technically limited, since there are no guarantees that they will get the exact same fabric, color, and material again. For those curious, the Gopi bag in the Reef colorway featured on our Spot Weekender cover eventually sold out last year and hasn't made a comeback. It's highly likely that the exact colorway might never be restocked.

If the packed space, long lines, and countless options at the pop-up left you feeling overwhelmed, you'll have a different beast to defeat for this online sale. Everyone and their mothers are waiting on their laptops and phones at home, so be ready to click and check out faster than you can say Om.

You'll also be up against an international crowd that are eager to get their hands on one (or several). You can't "hold" bags to reserve them for later, you'll have to check out ASAP so you're not met with that "sold out" sign in bold letters.
