Adidas x Bayongciaga Just Dropped These Bayongs, Here's How to Get One

(SPOT.ph) Adidas is no stranger to collaborating with local artists and designers to inject their familiar silhouettes with a uniquely Filipino touch. It's no different this year—the sportswear brand just dropped a line of limited-edition bayong bags with local label Bayongciaga in celebration of International Women's Month. Here's how to get your hands on one.

Drop by select Adidas stores and you're set to see handwoven bags upfront alongside their apparel and beloved sneakers. Bayongs as Filipinos know them are built to carry and the limited-edition Adi Bayongs follow the same philosophy. We spotted them at Spatio in Opus Mall, and of course, the signature Adidas three stripes make their mark on the bag as a checkered pattern sloping down one side.

They're available in a vibrant blue, a bubblegum pink, a deep taupe, and classic black, all completed with white stripes. A white version with black stripes is also available. All bayongs come with an acrylic adidas logo keychain in a matching shade. Two straps make the bayong easy to carry either by hand, or slung over your shoulder, albeit with a snug fit. A rope closure offers some privacy for all your belongings.

Dedicated to uplifiting Filipino artisans and weavers, Bayongciaga created each bayong by hand with love and pride. The bayong is a familiar character in many Filipinos' lives, serving as the vessel in which palengke hauls, essentials, and more would reside. More than just a cool, limited item to nab, the piece offers utility, highlights Filipino culture, and makes a bold style statement all at once.

The bags aren't actually for sale. You have to spend least P6,000 on Adidas products for a single receipt to bring one home. Should you spend P12,000, you're entiteled to two bayongs. Spend P30,000 and you can get it in every color.

If you're looking to get one, you only have until March 22 to score one. It's available at select Adidas branches and distributors nationwide, so do double-check before if the store nearest you is included before you head out.
