Apple's MacBook Neo Is Almost Here—You Can Now Pre-Order at These Retailers

The MacBook Neo seemed too good to be true when it first dropped, but here's a pinch back to reality: pre-order details for the budget-friendly laptop are starting to roll in. Beyond the Box, Digital Walker, and Power Mac Center are giving avid Apple fans and casual users the chance to get first dibs, along with special perks and exclusive freebies.

MacBook Neo's surprising price point and cute colorways caught the attention of avid Apple fans and casual users. In the Venn diagram of a good, entry-level laptop, it sits in the middle of affordability and functionality, with brand recognition as a plus (for some). The Neo is probably the most approachable and accessible for young users compared to its Air and Pro siblings.

For a quick rundown, it's powered by the Apple A18 Pro chip and is packed with a built-in 36-watt-hour lithium-ion battery that can get you up to 16 hours of use while you go through your daily tasks at your favorite coffee shop. It has limited storage and memory, with 256GB and 512GB of storage and 8GB of unified memory, which might be a dealbreaker for some.

The Neo's new colorways also stray from the cold and mechanical black, white, and gray hues that the usual laptops have. The Blush Pink and Citrus hues are, without a doubt, showstealers that add a pop of fun to your tech.

Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo at Beyond the Box and Digital Walker are ongoing. You can pre-order and get exclusive freebies and offers from April 12 to 23, depending on where you want to place the pre-order. Regular pre-orders are until April 22, while Lazada and Shopee pre-orders are until April 23.

For pre-orders made personally in Beyond the Box and Digital Walker's retail stores, you are guaranteed freebies worth over P10,000. The freebies include an MW Laptop Sleeve (P1,790), Now Go F6 Speaker (P2,490), and Satechi Wireless Mouse (P2,090), among others.

If you pre-order online, the freebies depend on where you made the order. If it's on the website, you can get a Native Union Tote Bag (P1,790) and a The Matcha Tokyo Gift Certificate (P300). If you pre-order on Shopee, there's an Aecooly Aero Portable Fan (P445) and an Apple Polishing Cloth (P1,190) waiting for you.

For those who want to do it in person, you can visit the nearest Beyond the Box, open_source by Beyond the Box, and Digital Walker branches. You should ready your full payment once you decide to pre-order your preferred unit, which will vary per size and color. The store staff will contact you once your devices are available for pick-up.

Beyond the Box retail stores will accept cash, debit, and credit card straight charge payment, 3/6/12/24/36 months installment on applicable banks, online bank transfer (BDO, BPI, and UnionBank)—for verification from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weekdays only), eGifts from GiftAway, Home Credit, and GGives.

The website will accept all major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB), and offer 3-month installment plans on applicable banks, online banking via DragonPay, over-the-counter non-banks via DragonPay, e-wallets like GCash, GrabPay, Coins.PH, Shopee Pay, and PayMaya, cash installments through TendoPay and BillEase, and eGifts from GiftAway.

If Power Mac Center is your choice of retailer for the MacBook Neo pre-order, you can do so in-store or online. However, customers who will place their pre-orders online will have to pay in full on the day of pre-order. If you go to their stores personally, you may also pay in full or place a down payment of P10,000 (minimum) to pre-order. You can settle the remaining balance upon pick-up of the device, which also has to be at the location where payment was made.

Pre-orders in-store will be available until April 19, while online pre-orders will stop at April 18, 3 p.m. Pickup for webstore pre-orders will be at select Power Mac Center locations:
