For Converse's Black and Pink Run Star Trainer, you either lace up the ribbon, loop it around your ankle—or both!

The Converse Run Star Trainer is a lace-up sneaker that combines retro and athletic aesthetics in one, and it is no stranger to the ballet sneaker trend having had the already slim silhouette stretched wide open on the upper like a ballet flat, with an elastic bridge that secures your foot inside it through the Converse RST Ballet. Converse's own twist on the ballet sneakers.

While the suede overlays, three-layered memory foam cushioning, and the rubber outsole are still there, this new Run Star Trainer in Black and Pink (P4,595) brings back the laces, with the satin ribbon seamlessly adding daintiness and sophistication to the shoe's athletic silhouette.

Aside from the wide, pink satin ribbon that goes through the eyelets, there's another set of cotton laces underneath that doubles the security for your foot. The pink ribbon is longer than the cotton laces, you can wrap it around your ankles like those pointe shoes that ballerinas wear. The upper down to the style's distinct rubber outsole are dressed in black. More pink details stand out from the rest of the canvas, in logos and inside the shoe.

We talked about the black pair with the pink details, but this silhouette is also available in predominantly pink with black details, if you're leaning toward a more coquette vibe. We spotted it on sale for P3,676 at their Glorietta branch. Unfortunately, the Black and Pink variant is already sold out on their shelves, and upon asking, there are no specifics yet on whether they will restock. According to the post, however, it's also going to be available online through their website.
