The EDYA 1929's Chopstick Bag has a unique box silhouette that's reminiscent of a takeout box. In this case, it's made elegant with vintage Japanese obi (a traditional Japanese broad sash or belt) silk with various intricate patterns. Aptly enough, the handles are a pair of metal chopsticks. This is what you'll create at EDYA 1929's ongoing Custom Bag Fair, available at a pop-up in MITSUKOSHI Mall in Bonifacio Global City and online through their website. You have until August 31 to drop by or send in your orders.

This is how it's going to go down. First, you'll choose from a collection of vintage obi fabrics available. Next up is picking the signature chopstick handle, which comes in three choices: silver, gold, and sandalwood. The chain, which completes the whole bag and allows you another way to carry it, is next on the list. You can either choose the silver or gold snake chain.

There are two size options available at the pop-up. The small tote shape can fit the bare necessities: phone, wallet, and your balms and lippies, while the large, wide-shaped bag offers more room for pouches and other items. According to the site, "each bag is going to be individually crafted from a single vintage obi," so no bag is going to have the same pattern placement. The bags start at P6,800.
