LOOK: Manila's First Pokémon Play Hub Just Opened in This Ortigas Mall

(SPOT.ph) Filipino Pokémon trainers, there's no need to go far and wide to catch some Pokémon, because a lot of them are now gathered in one spot—at the newest Pokémon Play Hub in the Philippines. The first one, no less, right at Robinsons Galleria. Trainers will not only get their hands on pocket monsters in various (cute, we might add) forms, but also get to hang out, trade, and even battle fellow trainers inside. We got to check out this buzzing spot during its grand opening, and of course, we're taking you with us.

Bring your Pokédexes and gear up for an adventure, trainers. The newest Pokémon Play Hub is now open on the third level of Robinsons Galleria, just beside the cinemas. It's a one-stop shop for every Pokémon trainer, combining play, community, and retail. The Pokémon Play Hub has already established itself in Malaysia and Thailand, and now, in the Philippines.

The space has dedicated zones you can visit, starting with the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Play Area, where fans can live out their Pokémon trainer dreams, because here is where the battles happen. You can find tables with playmats—you just have to bring your cards as well as find an opponent to battle it out with here. There's enough space for a lot of battles to commence.

If you're new to the world of Pokémon, there will be free tutorial sessions every Saturday and Sunday. Pokémon enthusiasts can also enjoy friendly matches in this area.

If you're bringing your kids along, there's a dedicated space for them to hang out, too. The Play & Display zone is a cozy corner where kids can watch their animated Pokémon content. It's literal Pokémon haven for kids and kids-at-heart.

There's also a corner where you can play Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Nintendo Switch 2 for free at the venue. In Pokémon Play Hub, you can enjoy IRL and virtual battles for free, and with the newest Nintendo Switch 2 console.

And oh, we know you'll be bringing not just your Pokédexes but also Poké Balls along this visit, and you literally can catch cute merch of your fave pocket monsters from this spot. You really gotta catch them all.

Expect Funko Pops, charms, cute stuffed toys, plushies, cards, figurines, and even apparel—just about any and every merchandise that features Pokémon—in the Pokémon Retail Zone, courtesy of Toys "R" Us. The Pokémon Play Hub has a wide range of official merchandise. There's merch of, of course, Pikachu, Eevee, Gengar, Mewtwo, Snorlax, and so much more. We spotted some of them at discounted prices, so you'd better head over to the store ASAP should you want to save up on a new collectible.

You can also create custom Pokémon pens with Artline inside.

There are several photo zones featuring a few Pokémon as soon as you step inside the space. Like the new Gen 9 starter Pokémons Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Right beside the trading zone is a wall of Pokémon Trading Cards.

We caught wind of an upcoming Pokémon park in Japan just a few months back, and it won't be opening until 2026. So in the meantime, you can live out your Pokémon trainer dreams IRL in this cool new space without hopping on a flight out (though we know you're still going to!).
