(SPOT.ph) For the longest time, Nintendo Switch users here in the Philippines could only set their account to a region or country supported by the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Switch Online, meaning they have to convert currency and account for additional fees and transaction costs. Starting November 10, that won't be the case anymore. Nintendo just announced that the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Switch Online services are going to be available here in the Philippines.

Yep, just in time for the biggest double-digit sale of the year, 11.11—so if you've been wanting to get your hands on your own (or a gift) Switch console, first-timer or not, this is the moment to do so.
What else can Switch users enjoy now that Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Switch Online are going live here? Aside from breezing through buying and downloading games, you can also now download more content and even sign up for a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
If you're a member of the Nintendo Switch Online community, you can enjoy online battles and co-op play, as well as have access to games from past Nintendo consoles and Nintendo Switch Online-exclusive games. There's also the Save Data Cloud feature, which allows you to automatically and manually back up your saved files to Nintendo's online servers!
In the meantime, though, local gamers can purchase their Nintendo Switch games, consoles, and official merch at the first Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines, located on the second floor of SM Makati, Ayala Center, Makati. You can check out more updates and information at Nintendo's official website in the Philippines.
