ICYMI: Papemelroti Is Moving Out of Its OG Spot in SM Megamall

(SPOT.ph) Papemelroti is a name that's often said with fondness. It brings back memories of all the days (and money) spent inside the four walls of its stores, with specific branches carving a special place in our hearts. If it's the long-time Papemelroti branch in SM Megamall that you always visit, we have both sad and good news for you.

Let's start with the sad news first. Papemelroti announced on their social media accounts that they will be moving out of their SM Megamall spot. Its doors will be open until May 31.

"To our loyal Megamall customers, you've seen us through every era. From our first-ever spot to where we are now, we've loved every second of this journey with you," Papemelroti said. "Though it's sad to close this one, we're so hyped for the next chapter!"

The reason for the move out? SM Megamall's redevelopment. For the past few years, since July 2024, we've been seeing big board-ups in and around the mall. It's undergoing a huge makeover, aiming to be completed between 2027 and 2029.

But here's the good news. There's still a Papemelroti branch in the same area, in Shangri-La, of course, but there's also going to be a Papemelroti Mega pop-up in the works. It's not going to be too far from the old location, so you don't have to worry.

There are no further updates regarding where exactly and when the new pop-up in Megamall will open, but we'll keep you posted. But for the old spot, you have until the end of this month to visit and reminisce about the good old days.
