(SPOT.ph) There’s really magic in getting a device that forces—err, motivates you to do things that you otherwise won’t. Take, for example, me, running, and the HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Pro, which I got to use for a few weeks. It’s a sleek smartwatch that made me stand up and do (light) exercise a few times a day, then had me thinking of pursuing hiking seriously (after just a few days), and drew everyone else’s attention with how cool and stylish it looks. It's everything I want in a smartwatch. Not to mention it's more affordable compared to the other options in the market, available for just P13,999 online. The HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Pro is the top-drawer of the Chinese tech giant's latest wearables, a.k.a the HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Series. The lineup boasts light, vibrant, and stylish smartwatches that urge users to push their fitness into new heights. The HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Pro was released alongside the HUAWEI Watch Fit 4.
The HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Pro is thin and light despite the big (9.3 mm thickness and 1.82-inch AMOLED display) and bright (3000-nit peak brightness) screen. When it comes to features, the light but mighty watch not only has health features like heart-rate monitoring and even sleep and emotional tracking, but also pro-level outdoor sports and fitness tracking. Our unit is the blue variant with a fluorelastomer strap, which allows us to take the plunge and record our swim data without worrying too much about water-resistance. The bezel is made of titanium alloy, while the mid-frame is made from aluminum alloy.

You can view your readings in your cellphone through the Huawei Health App (available on App Store and Google Play)..
The Watch Fit 4 Pro is equipped with a TruSense System for a more accurate and 24/7 health tracking and is compatible with iOS and Android through the Huawei Health app. You can go a maximum of 10 days (seven is the typical battery life) with its battery life, with 60 minutes to charge to full capacity. The box will also include the wireless charger and cable.

Available in three cool colors..
The HUAWEI Fit 4 Pro is available in three colors: green, blue, and black. But you have the option to interchange the straps however you like, whatever you feel like wearing. The green one, to be more specific, is a nylon strap that's lightweight, breathable, and water-repellent.
The HUAWEI Fit Pro 4 retails at P13,999.

HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Pro: First impressions, thoughts
Disclaimer: I don't wear watches that much. It's hard for me to find one that fits so well, even on the last hole on leather watches, it's still too big for my wrist. Not to mention that the face can get too big for my wrist and hands. I'm not even that much of a runner (I'm a yapping walker), too, so smartwatches are not really my style.
Or so I thought.
When we got the HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Pro, the first thing I noticed was the strap. It's made out of fluorelastomer and in this cool blue hue. But aside from that, it had lots of holes that go all the way around, which allowed me to fit it snugly on my wrist. The flat and square bezel and screen are surprisingly just the right size for me, too, as someone who's not a fan of bulky timepieces. At first glance, it looks like a simple, modern watch. It can fit nicely with the rest of my ensembles (which is a must for me, who dresses up for events daily). You can also customize the digital watch face and pick a design you like, depending on the occasion and mood.

It reminds me to move and how far I am from my goal (which you can adjust on your app)..
The 24/7 tracking goes beyond for the Watch Fit 4 Pro. Aside from the fitness reminders that urge me to stand up and do quick exercises (with additional reminders on how many kcal I need to burn complete my goals), there's also the emotional monitoring that tracks my mood periodically. It also provides me with breathing exercises and even meditations, as seen on the watch. There's also the sleep tracking, though I never got the chance to use it because I don't like sleeping with a watch on.
As I'm always sitting down due to the nature of my work, the watch tracks my movements and makes me aware of how many steps I've taken for the day, as well as gives me reminders to stand up and move (which is a must as I forget to do that most of the time). Though most smartwatches are designed for the pros serious about their numbers, it's still newbie-friendly.

It also tracks my emotional well-being and provides me with breathing exercise to help me go through it..
Of course, when talking about smartwatches, exercise tracking is one of the non-negotiables, especially if you're active (or trying to be). It boasts a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports and activities that you can track. The HUAWEI Fit 4 Pro has pro-level outdoor sports included in its lineup. I'm not that pro-level, but I'm sure people who have been looking for this extensive tracking for their sport would appreciate it. Think golf, 40m freedive, trail run, and so much more. The freedive feature, for one, will get you real-time data like depth, duration, heart rate, and alerts if you exceed the depth limit already (depth up to 40 metres). The watch has an IP6X Dust Proof Rating and EN13319-certified 40m Dive-Grade Water Resistance.
Going for a trail run? The HUAWEI Fit 4 Pro has a brand-new barometer and HUAWEI's Sunflower Positioning system that will tell you environmental info and weather data to help you map out your surroundings: tracks, slopes, navigation areas, the like.
