(SPOT.ph) Blind box culture isn’t exactly new—it’s been triggering dopamine hits and major damage to our wallets for years through lucky bags and gashapons. But if we’re pointing fingers at who took it global, POP MART easily tops the suspect list. Now, the trend has gone fully mainstream, with even brands like Starbucks riding the trend with their Straw Charms Blind Boxes: a cute, little accessory for your straw.
Starbucks joins the blind box fun with these cute collectible Straw Charms
Just when you thought your daily caffeine ritual was already safe from all the budol, Starbucks adds a little chaos to your cup, specifically your straw. From June 17 to 19 (yes, only three days to collect 'em all!), you can score a Surprise Straw Charm Blind Box for an additional P95—but only with a prior purchase of any Grande or Venti Frappuccino Blended Beverage. The barista will present a set of boxes to you, and you'll get to choose which one you're going to get.
The Straw Charm—not a straw stopper, just to be clear—comes in five collectible designs, four of which are a Brady Bunch of Starbucks' famous bears dressed to hit the beach, all decked in summer dresses and button-up shirts, with sunglasses and hats. The fifth design? A Starbucks-branded jeepney, because obviously the bears need a ride to their sun-soaked destination.

The Starbucks Straw Charms are available in-store
Starbucks’ Straw Charms are, of course, reusable—because even impulse buys can be eco-conscious choices. So if you're sipping from a disposable straw, make sure to rescue your charm before chucking the cup in the bin. Better yet, bring your own reusable cup and straw. It doesn’t have to be Starbucks-branded…but let’s be real, it looks way cuter when it is.
Starbucks' Straw Charms Blind Boxes will only be available for three days, from June 17 to 19, across all branches nationwide. This is valid for dine-in and takeout transactions (read: it's not available for drive-thru, delivery, and Mobile Order and Pay).
